I am wearing my new 30C bra today (was originally wearing 32 or 34A) It is so comfortable!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, wonderful bra ladies Thanks

WhyAmIWeirdedOut · 02/03/2013 11:48

Could you work mine out please.

32 under bust and 40 round. I'm sure I'm in the wrong size, I always have 4 boobs Confused

StatisticallyChallenged · 02/03/2013 11:49

whyamiweirdedout try a 32FF to start with

OP posts:
HeavenlyWineandRoses · 02/03/2013 11:50

Just measured. I'm 27 under bust and 35 around boobs. Generally wearing a range of sizes but today's bra is 34b. Thanks in advance!

StatisticallyChallenged · 02/03/2013 11:51

heavenly try a 28F/FF to start with. You might find them fractionally loose on the back but 26s are not readily available yet. You could combine the 28 with a Rixie Clip (ebay...) if you feel it needs to be snugger.

OP posts:
SorrelForbes · 02/03/2013 11:51

HeavenlyWineandRoses Try a 28F/FF. You could probably do with a 26FF/G but alas, they are not to be found (unless you go for custom made).

CelticPromise · 02/03/2013 11:53

Heavenly you'd ideally try a 26G but 26s are very rare (although Panache are bringing one out very soon apparently). Try a 28FF and see- if the band is loose it's quite easy to alter if you have the cup right.

CelticPromise · 02/03/2013 11:54

Bra chorus!

StatisticallyChallenged · 02/03/2013 11:55

That's brilliant, results in triplicate!

WhyAmIWeirdedOut · 02/03/2013 12:00

I've been in a 34 DD, no wonder my boobs are everywhere! Thank you very much Thanks

singingsoprano · 02/03/2013 12:02

Can I just add my thanks to all the lovely bra ladiesSmile. After receiving advice re-my measurements, I have gone from poorly fitting M & S 42DD to playtex 40GG. The difference is amazing! I am off to bravissimo in the next few weeks, too. Thanks

MrsKoala · 02/03/2013 12:03

out of interest, has anyone alerted m&s to all these threads? Perhaps they would like to know 'britains number one website for vipers' has unilaterally blown their bra 'expertise' out of the water. If they just saw the amount of posters who have been uncomfortable and upset by their 'service' i wonder how they would respond?

Should someone at MN HQ forward these links?

CelticPromise · 02/03/2013 12:04

MrsKoala check out the Better Bra Campaign thread. Doesn't sound like they're taking notice yet though...

StatisticallyChallenged · 02/03/2013 12:07

We did tweet MumsnetTowers but no response/RT. More support needed (pardon the pun!)

Just want to say, thankyou so much to SC and this thread,
I've just taken delivery of around 12 bras to try, had been wearing a 38DD uncomfortably for years, thanks to your help I've just put on a 38F and what a difference!! :D I feel like a new woman, no more back fat and four boob effect! yay thankyou sooo much :D

Trazzletoes · 02/03/2013 12:23

sc do you have a #? Am on twitter...

StatisticallyChallenged · 02/03/2013 12:25

twitter feed is twitter.com/bra_guru. Trying out #WeDontAdd4Anymore but need something better really. Also tweeting blog posts which you could point at M&S - apparently bad fitting is an isolated incident!

OP posts:
SpicyPear · 02/03/2013 12:32

I'm in the right size now but wondered if someone could help with styles. My boobs are broad at the base, with breast tissue going from the centre of my chest to almost right under my arms! Which styles/ makes should I look at that have wires that go quite high at the outer edge to hold it all in? Curvy Kate Tease Me is best I've found so far.

StatisticallyChallenged · 02/03/2013 12:40

Hmm, similar to me...I Love the Bravissimo Betsy Bow, the Alana, and I quite like the half cups (Demi diva, rococco charm, paradiso plunge etc)

OP posts:
SpicyPear · 02/03/2013 12:48

Super, thanks. Will take a look.

Furball · 02/03/2013 12:54

statiscallychallenged - it was a Elomi, Caitlyn, Full Cup, in 36 GG twas lovely too, yes to scooping but it still didn't fill the top part of the cup

EMUZ · 02/03/2013 13:08

I have two arrived this morning. The panache jasmine is gorgeous and a perfect fit. The panache sienna just doesn't fit right, the wires don't lie flat so that's one for eBay!

Love this thread!

Now, I've just done the 90degree measuring: 36 band and 42 while bent over. Upright round the fullest part is only 40 though (which is what I'd measured before).

Now, I can't understand this. I'm currently wearing a 38B and it gapes at the top of the cups. But according to the measurements when I'm bent over I should be in a 36E

Surely that can't be right if my B cup I'm wearing gapes at the top? I've got no boobs to fill anything bigger, surely?

The B cup bra I'm wearing btw is moulded and stiff/padded (as I feel lacking in the booby dept so I like to wear something that gives me a bit of shape.)

Am I a freak? Am I going to break the thread? I can't see this working for me.

DP on the other hand is quite keen to go bra shopping to see if I'm really an E cup! Just can't see it myself but I'm happy to be proved wrong.

eski2606 · 02/03/2013 13:12

Please help!

I've just measured and I'm 30 inches then 36.5... I can't work it out. M&S gave me a 34c last week which is currently digging in undert arms (and bruising!)

Thank you
