To think little boys can be a bit disgusting sometimes?

DS is 4, I love him to bits but he keeps grossing me out at the moment. If he's not eating bogeys he's making dodgy smells (on purpose), burping or exploring his body parts in great detail. Where has my sweet little baby gone that smelt of vanilla and cake? AIBU to feel this way?

YANBU - my 5yo is the same. BUt sadly I doubt he'll ever grow out of it completely now his Dad certainly hasn't!

Whirliwig72 · 28/02/2013 13:04

Oh and why does his bedroom release a deathly fug in the mornings?- I thought that did not happen till they were teenagers!

my twin 4 year olds smell each other to decide if they need a bath....

and also sniff socks to see who's feet smell more like elf cheese.

I still love to smell the back of their neck when they are fresh out of the bath through ;)

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 28/02/2013 13:06

Cherish it...it only get's worse. :)

ShowOfHands · 28/02/2013 13:06

I don't think it's just boys tbh. Grin

Although, I am contending with two dc with gastroenteritis atm and dd is vomiting neatly into a handy bowl while ds is bringing up a mouthful at a time and swallowing/chewing it back down. That's just an age thing though.

Whirliwig72 · 28/02/2013 13:06

Elf cheese???? Grin

Well, it's a bit early to spray him with Lynx.

yellowsheep · 28/02/2013 13:08

We always have a look in sainsburys for elf cheese as it really really stinky aparentley ;)

FrancesHouseman · 28/02/2013 13:09

I remember roffling at someone on here's DS threading DVDs onto his willy. My DS was a baby then. Now he's 3 and does the DVD-onto-willy threading too!

Whirliwig72 · 28/02/2013 13:09

Yellow Grin!

I share my home with a 14 year old, Santa bought him lynx shower gel, things have not improved, i'm considering using the power washer on him.

Whirliwig72 · 28/02/2013 13:11

Mine fiddled around with his "dingle dangle" so much he managed to hurt it! Shock Doesn't threading dvd's on it hurt?

My 5yo DS is a lot less disgusting than my 9yo DS. He wipes bogeys on the sofa, the walls etc as well as eating them and the smell from his backside is indescribable! I suspect girls can be just as bad though.

Quenelle · 28/02/2013 13:19

DS has some stacking cups with holes in that he plays with in the bath and loves to stick his willy through the hole of the biggest one. I'm imagining my call to the fire brigade when it gets stuck...

BarbarianMum · 28/02/2013 13:20

Little boys disgusting? More so than little girls/older boys/ older girls/ women/men/old people of either gender? I think UABU actually - I can't think of any one group of humanity who couldn't be described as 'disgusting' with a whole list of examples.

peachypips · 28/02/2013 13:20

As the only female in my house i have decided to embrace it and join in. I held DS1 (5) down this morning and farted on his head in retaliation for him farting in my bed to wake me up.

StinkyElfCheese · 28/02/2013 13:21

name change ;)

DD is just as bad..... I caught her just before she was about to spray MY perfume over the rats as they were a bit stinky..... she also fart EVERYYtime she climbs into bed with us in the morning.... EVERY bloody time....

ScarlettInSpace · 28/02/2013 13:23

Well when you consider they are made of snips of snails & puppy dog tails what do you expect Grin

SweetSeraphim · 28/02/2013 13:23

Ha!! Just you wait a couple of years Grin

I have a ds (7) and dss (8) and they are vile. Forever fiddling about with their willies, farting, burping, talking about poo....

Remind you of your dh/dp? Wink

NoelHeadbands · 28/02/2013 13:23

My 5yo is constantly smelling his finger.

IRCL · 28/02/2013 13:23

Girls are no better.

DD age 3 came up to me earlier and actually wiped her bogy on me!

She always wants to look at her pooh and likes to trumph on me.

Nice.

SweetSeraphim · 28/02/2013 13:25

I also have dd (15) and dsd (12) - they have to be forced to bath or shower, and their room smells much worse than the boys.

Also, a couple of years ago, dd was hiding used sanitary towels under her bed, so.... [sick]

Whirliwig72 · 28/02/2013 13:26

Ooo I get used as a hankie too - often under the guise of being given a hug!! DS also does poo gazing - the way that others look at clouds and form shapes with them!

Barbarian - I'm sending DS to your house for a few days to see if you change your mind Grin

OP posts:
Whirliwig72 · 28/02/2013 13:30

Just to add he doesn't actually pick the poo up - just tells me "oh look mummy I've made a bear" or whatever!!! Ds2 however well that's another story!!!

BarbarianMum · 28/02/2013 13:32

Grin go for it Whirliwig - it sounds like he will have a lot in common w ds1 and 2.
