Lovely presents from dh today, but aibu and a bit of a cow to be disappointed that the receipt shows that he just ran in n grabbed my pressies at 6pm on the wy home from work?

It's not as though he didn't know it was VD, it's advertised everywhere for months.

Sad

its a marketing ploy, not a ritual expression of undying love. he did what he had to do. most people wouldn't have bothered.

Teeb · 14/02/2013 21:40

Yabu.

HollyBerryBush · 14/02/2013 21:40

oh grow up

MissyMooandherBeaverofSteel · 14/02/2013 21:41

YABU and ungrateful and ridiculous. Does it really matter when he bought it?

Fakebook · 14/02/2013 21:41

Does it matter what time he got them? At least he remembered and got you something.

IsThatTrue · 14/02/2013 21:41

YABU he thought enough to get you something.

it's all a load of tosh anyway

It's a man thing

mrsjay · 14/02/2013 21:42

you sounds really upset and stompy about it he got you something when did you want him to buy you gifts,

VerlaineChasedRimbauds · 14/02/2013 21:42

That is certainly a very weird thing to be "really saddened" by. Yabu.

And a bit of a cow.

WorraLiberty · 14/02/2013 21:42

What an extremely distressing discovery this must have been for you.

I hope you can somehow get through it xxx

mrsjay · 14/02/2013 21:43

my dh bought me my christmas present christmas eve at 3 30 people are busy last minute means nothing

ChocHobNob · 14/02/2013 21:43

Is it really a man thing? I always leave buying presents until the very last minute.

YABU

MikeLitoris · 14/02/2013 21:43

What difference does it actually make?

What difference would it make to you if he bought them last week?

gordyslovesheep · 14/02/2013 21:43

LEAVE THE BASTARD

mrsjay · 14/02/2013 21:43

worra

MrsDoomsPatterson · 14/02/2013 21:43

C'mon missus...this really isn't a probem....

hopenglory · 14/02/2013 21:44

When would have been an acceptable time for him to buy you presents?

Beamur · 14/02/2013 21:44

YABU. He made the effort and bought you nice presents on time - what's the problem?
DP bought mine today too, he was going into Leeds for work and went especially to a shop that is only there to get me something.

Monty27 · 14/02/2013 21:44
JugsMcGee · 14/02/2013 21:44

YABU. It's all a load of rubbish anyway. He got you something, probably because you seem quite hung up on it. You wanted a present, you got one.

BigAudioDynamite · 14/02/2013 21:44

tee hee hee Grin

MrSlant · 14/02/2013 21:44

I know exactly what you mean though. Sometimes we have to accept though that most men are not going to be plotting months in advance what small but perfect gift would speak to us on a special day. There are probably quite a lot of local shops that would go out of business if it wasn't for lastminuteitis. Wink

pigletmania · 14/02/2013 21:44

Yabvvu I dident get anything just happy valentines and an e mail of a cute picture. You don't need exensive gifts to know your partner loves you
