Lovely presents from dh today, but aibu and a bit of a cow to be disappointed that the receipt shows that he just ran in n grabbed my pressies at 6pm on the wy home from work?

It's not as though he didn't know it was VD, it's advertised everywhere for months.

Even humour doesn't cut it OP

Bad try again when you've hit 15.

Alconleigh · 14/02/2013 21:51

Grown ups don't actually do Valentine's Day, do they?

landofsoapandglory · 14/02/2013 21:51

I thought the same as Curlyhaired when I opened the thread, so I am a tad disappointed, tbh!

BinksToEnlightenment · 14/02/2013 21:52

Fuel marks for him swerving it is some excellent pun-age.

ubik · 14/02/2013 21:52

What was the poor bastard supposed to do?

DP came home with some nice tulips from Tesco and bottle of wine. Am now pissed on Prosseco ( cheap date)

MyHeadWasInTheSandNowNot · 14/02/2013 21:52

WeepyAndWounded · 14/02/2013 21:53

AnyFucker · 14/02/2013 21:53

Give over

mistressploppy · 14/02/2013 21:53

Have you said anything to him?

Dannilion · 14/02/2013 21:54

Did you get his gift in an appropriate timeframe?

Actually, what would be an appropriate timeframe for you? Some people are impossible to please or lying.

carabos · 14/02/2013 21:54

Feeling very cheated by this thread title Angry. Clicked through expecting at least "diamond earrings for OW V Day pressie, petrol station flowers for DW" but no...

MyHeadWasInTheSandNowNot · 14/02/2013 21:54

Come on guys, wise up....

He left it out on the Shellf...

So fuel marks...

MyHeadWasInTheSandNowNot · 14/02/2013 21:54

mistressploppy · 14/02/2013 21:54

Ohh Blush

freddiemisagreatshag · 14/02/2013 21:54

No being on a total downer about something so petty and insignificant would not even cross my mind

mistressploppy · 14/02/2013 21:54

CaseyShraeger · 14/02/2013 21:55

I bought DH's card at 7pm on the way home from DS's swimming lesson.

(This is a one-upmanship thread, isn't it?)

BinksToEnlightenment · 14/02/2013 21:55

Did your BP really go up?

WeepyAndWounded · 14/02/2013 21:55

I said I feel disappointed by his lack of forethought on the forecourt.

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 14/02/2013 21:56

Did he park in a P&C space and use the shop's disabled toilet before eventually remembering to buy your gifts?

Matildaduck · 14/02/2013 21:56

Your high maintenance aren't you.. :-)

Good grief.

WeepyAndWounded · 14/02/2013 21:56

Yes, my BP has been raised, thinkinh about him being a chump at the pump.

"really saddened"

Normally hate responses that say get some perspective there are people starving as they are so random and unhelpful, but just this once...you need to get some perspective.

BluelightsAndSirens · 14/02/2013 21:57

Was it take a break and a bounty bar?

PickledInAPearTree · 14/02/2013 21:57
