Lovely presents from dh today, but aibu and a bit of a cow to be disappointed that the receipt shows that he just ran in n grabbed my pressies at 6pm on the wy home from work?

It's not as though he didn't know it was VD, it's advertised everywhere for months.

Sad

why are you looking at the receipt anyway?

WeepyAndWounded · 14/02/2013 21:44

I know, I know, they were thoughtful stuff as well, all things I really like, but I just feel like it's an afterthought.

BabyRoger · 14/02/2013 21:44

YABU. How ungrateful! Your poor DH!

PickledInAPearTree · 14/02/2013 21:45

What? Your never serious.

Fakebook · 14/02/2013 21:45

What did he buy you then? And how long have you been married?

CurlyhairedAssassin · 14/02/2013 21:45

Flippin' heck, OP, I opened this thread expecting to find someone who had found a receipt for a valentines present for another woman!!!! Get a grip, lady!

cocoachannel · 14/02/2013 21:45

Yes.

bluemintygel · 14/02/2013 21:45

Leave the bastard

PickledInAPearTree · 14/02/2013 21:45

Worra you have a rotten little mind! Grin

landofsoapandglory · 14/02/2013 21:46

Isn't meant to be the thought that counts?

Valentine's day is a load of old bollocks anyway, IMO!

Wewereherefirst · 14/02/2013 21:46

An afterthought would be him buying them tomorrow.

But anyway, LTB.

WeepyAndWounded · 14/02/2013 21:46

Oh cos it's a VAT receipt for the fuel he bought as well, MrsDoom, he left it out on the Shellf for me to file.

freddiemisagreatshag · 14/02/2013 21:47

Are you 14?

pigletmania · 14/02/2013 21:47

Oh dear weepy get a grip

BluelightsAndSirens · 14/02/2013 21:47

And that is why we don't bother.

We are both busy, we know we love each other the majority of the time so no need to be dragged into it all.

When and what did you buy him just out of interest?

EarnestDullard · 14/02/2013 21:47

How do you know that he didn't plan it for ages and actively decide to go then? Or maybe he wanted to get things sooner but didn't get a chance?

Sorry, but you're being ridiculous.

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 14/02/2013 21:47

Are you really "really saddened" by this?

Lovelygoldboots · 14/02/2013 21:48

Curlyhair, I was thinking that too Grin ((slaps op round face with a wet fish))

ErikNorseman · 14/02/2013 21:48

YABU
just...fgs

WeepyAndWounded · 14/02/2013 21:48

Well, I guess if he'd bought it last week, the Take A Break would have been out of date. So fuel marks for him for swerving that.

OP posts:
verytellytubby · 14/02/2013 21:49

Leave the bastard.

kinkyfuckery · 14/02/2013 21:49

You couldn't moan about what he bought, or how much it cost, so you moan about what time he bought it? Get a grip.

mrsjay · 14/02/2013 21:49

Well FGS I was expecting something like a hotel room receipt and a tube of KY jelly!!

that is what I was secretly hoping for Blush

Doilooklikeatourist · 14/02/2013 21:51

DH bought me a ard in M & S yesterday , after I gave him the stamped voucher that gives you a free card when you've bought 8 cards . Told him to get me the most expensive one he could find , cos it's the free one .
And he found a lovely card ( DD helped , I've trained her well )
What was the problem ? You had a lovely gift , didn't you ?
