Cos I was unreasonable enough to have DD when I was 35.
and I'm a bit middle class too.

The feeling is mutual, you hateful witch.

OP posts:
bickie · 27/01/2013 12:14

I love her - and I am definitely in the group she hates. But she is brave enough to say what she thinks - and she strikes a nerve because she's often very close to the truth.

discorabbit · 27/01/2013 12:19

you lot read it though!

pinkstinks · 27/01/2013 12:20

I just remembered her shit tattoo and had a little giggle....

MissMogwi · 27/01/2013 12:25

She'll be on This Morning before the week is out. Mark my words.

(Sets Sky+)

ClairesTravellingCircus · 27/01/2013 12:30

She's not brave she sounds barking mad to me. And in this instance she's very far from the truth.

Women having babies to keep their husbands?? Honestly??

Fenton · 27/01/2013 12:36

I think she's getting weirder and weirder and pretty soon she and Sam Brick are going to disappear into a pit of disappointment and hate.

bickie · 27/01/2013 12:36

Claire - yes that is incredible to think women would do something like have a child to keep their husband isn't it. On another active post right now there is a woman telling the OP to befriend her DH mistress (discuss his penis size etc) so that you can secretly drive a wedge btween them in order to keep her DH. Sadly I think some women do all sorts of depressing things to keep their DH.

BoringSchoolChoiceNickname · 27/01/2013 12:41

Don't feed the trolls people.

Tryharder · 27/01/2013 12:42

The article made me laugh, in particular the bit about stressed, knackered middle class elderly mothers falling asleep at their desk at work.

I actually nodded off at my desk at work the other day. I swear to God, I am so embarrassed. I have also been known to do online shopping surreptitiously at work.

Fuck. I am officially a Liz Jones living nightmare.

KC225 · 27/01/2013 12:44

About 8 years ago - just before she split up with the husband she mentions nearly every week, she was gagging to have a baby and she wrote about some miracle woman with herbs and potions that could get a plank of wood pregnant. I emailed her and asked for the woman's name she wrote back with the woman's details, wishing me good luck. She would have been mid forties then. Her husband also spoke about her trying to adopt from India but he wasn't keen and felt rushed into it.

It's a shame her disappointment turned to bitterness.

Liz Jones is barking mad but addictive. Like that loopy relative that always causes drama

MummytoKatie · 27/01/2013 12:44

Isn't she the woman who, in her late 30s, started sticking pins in her boyfriend's condoms?

Not sure if I am hated though - 29 when conceived, 30 when gave birth. Maybe just disliked!

DeckSwabber · 27/01/2013 12:45

The only thing that shocked me in this article was the sentence "I once went to a friend?s house".

Surely it cannot be true that Liz Jones has friends?

She's in her 50's, she would have been in her 40's when she was sabotaging the condoms. She was in her late 30's when she married him

bickie · 27/01/2013 12:50

But LJ she is wrong about a lot of people. The point is - and what gets everyone so upset - (whispers) she might also be a little bit right about people too.

Liz doesn't seem to like anybody, really.

And she desperately wanted a baby in her mid/late 40s, adoption I think she said, being too old to have a child herself. So, ever so slightly hypocritical.

Flossiechops · 27/01/2013 12:57

What a hateful bitch! I think that her sentence "maybe I'm just jealous and bitter" sums her up.

KindleMum · 27/01/2013 13:02

It's hilarious! And reminds me why I'd never buy the DM. But, given the way she rambles disjointedly and contradicts herself, if I was her I'd be seeing a doc to check mum's dementia wasn't hereditary and showing its effects. That is really not a coherent article, I can concoct a more logical argument than that when drunk.

And yes, it's clearly jealousy of those who got pregnant when she couldn't. It's sad to be so bitter, you only hurt yourself.

EmpressMaud · 27/01/2013 13:02

I'd forgotten about Liz sabotaging the condoms

LindaMcCartneySausage · 27/01/2013 13:03

I take it as a positive affirmation and a badge of honour to be hated by Liz Jones. If that loopy Lou nutcase hates me, I must be ok really Grin

Oh, and I remember the "Desperate for babies" columns she write about 10 years ago. IIRC she hated women who got pregnant in their late 30's and 40's then too. For different reasons presumably.

JamesBexleySpeed · 27/01/2013 13:03

She cites her 16 year old niece as a shining example of level-headed good parenting.

FFS

eggsy11 · 27/01/2013 13:05

some of the comments are awful though. One said 'at least women over thirty can look after their own kids and now rely on handouts'. I'm a young mum and never claimed a penny, idiotic bitch.

eggsy11 · 27/01/2013 13:05

Why can't a 16 year old be a good parents jamesbexleyspeed??? I don't agree with most of the article but there isn't a reason why her 16 year old can't be aa good mum.

wewereherefirst · 27/01/2013 13:07

I'm not in her hate target group but she does come across as a fruit loop. She needs to learn the art of proofreading to see her glaring contradictions.
