Cos I was unreasonable enough to have DD when I was 35.
and I'm a bit middle class too.

The feeling is mutual, you hateful witch.

Bickie

"Some" women of "any" age will do anything to keep their husbands.

She states it is ALL women who have babies past the age of 30.
Can't you see anything wrong there?

worsestershiresauce · 27/01/2013 13:13

How judgemental and unkind. There are good mothers and shit mothers and age has very little to do with it.

JamesBexleySpeed · 27/01/2013 13:15

Not what I meant, eggsy. A 16 year old can be, and most often is, a perfectly good parent. But it is not the ideal situation, and not preferable to the horror that Liz Jones thinks is a 30 year old parent.

KC225 · 27/01/2013 13:16

When Holly brought up the condom sabotaging on This Morning last year, Liz Jones got choked up - she didn't cry but was 'on the verge'. Later on she slated Holly in the paper saying she had just had a baby or was pregnant she (Liz) couldn't tell. Holly's baby was about 6 months old, Liz was just spiteful

Psammead · 27/01/2013 13:19

Ha! 29 when I had my first.

In. Your. FACE, suckers!

The woman is a parody, she makes me laugh sometimes. She can be nasty and inappropriate though, too. She's a puzzle.

TapirBackRider · 27/01/2013 13:26

Jones is boring. She casts around for things to direct her vitriol at, and it's quite obvious that there is a lot of bitterness to spread around.

I don't think it would matter what path her life had followed, she's one of the permanently dissatisfied, and if she were posting on here, she would be one of the more uninteresting and obvious trolls.

I stopped reading her drivel years ago, and use the time gained to do better things with - like cleaning my toilet.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/01/2013 13:28

Liz Jones, Richard Littlejohn and Jan Moir are nothing but paid trolls, encouraged to write bollocks like this to get clicks on that bloody site. They do an excellent job of it. Just stop feeding them.

bickie · 27/01/2013 13:29

I agree she says provocative things - and definitely knows how to kick up a stir (like this!) - I just don't think she should be completely disregarded for her controversial views. I am a middle class mum who had all my children in her 30's so I am on her hit list. But I am prepared to read between the lines of what she is saying as I think she often has a good point to make. Which the only way she sees it can be made and discussed is by being outrageous - not that different to a controversial film maker or artist.

Nancy66 · 27/01/2013 13:35

They're not paid to get clicks on a website - on the whole columnists are not well-read online. Most online users are there for the celebrity content.

Psammead · 27/01/2013 13:41

A word to the wise, whenever you see a Jizz Loans sentence starting 'A good friend of mine...' just insert the word 'imaginary' before the word 'friend' and it all makes more sense. Online sockpuppetry is one thing. Sockpuppetry in your own head is much more interesting Grin

MajesticWhine · 27/01/2013 13:44

It's sad really. So obviously bitter that she has no family of her own. Also sad is that she is still writing about her ex husband, several years after they broke up.

Nancy it's v often DM articles which create twitter storms. How many times a month does Liz Jones trend on twitter, with almost no-one able to resist clicking through to read what shite she has written now. And Sam Brick gets more outrageous with everything she writes. That Shona woman is an up and coming Daily Mail troll. These people are only there to generate controversy and therefore clicks. Even if more people read the site for the sleb gossip, a significant number of people read what the columnists write, and thereby generates income for the site.

Nancy66 · 27/01/2013 14:03

Petite - Sam Brick hardly writes any more.

Of course anything that generates controversy is good but nobody who works for the paper commissions something with the website in mind.

Fishandjam · 27/01/2013 14:03

Yay, she hates me too! (DS at 36, DD at nearly 39.) I shall consider her hatred a badge of honour.

Joiningthegang · 27/01/2013 14:03

I think she must have been drunk when she write that - wht a pile of shit - even worse an editor approved it - even the dm readers who commented agree it's a rantin pile of rubbish!

space21 · 27/01/2013 14:07

Never heard of this bint. Who is she?

She must hate me too - had DS at 36 and second one due at age 38.

SoleSource · 27/01/2013 14:14

Liz is lonely, Liz is sad, Liz is a liar oooh she baaad.

SoleSource · 27/01/2013 14:16

I rarely read the DM. I am going to for first time in a fair few.months...

Nancy66 · 27/01/2013 14:17

Sole - just wait until you stumble across one that's been discarded in a cafe. There are seemingly thousands of these all over the country if MN is to be believed.

Badvoc · 27/01/2013 14:17

I think she is more to be pitied than censured tbh.
She seems a genuinely very unhappy and utter person.
It must be exhausting being her.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/01/2013 14:18

Damn. Wrote a post and lost it. Basically saying to Nancy that surprises me but I know you know what you're talking about. Ot of interest why is Sam Brick writing less? Her choice or is she riding out the storm in hiding. I felt really sorry for her and felt she was a little thrown to the wolves by the DM. She's a freelancer, not on a columnist's contract and pay. It was quite sad.

Badvoc · 27/01/2013 14:18

Utter = bitter.
Fecking auto correct!

careergirl · 27/01/2013 14:22

Do you know I almost feel sorry for her? I stress the almost.
Her attack on Clare Balding implied she has a massive inferiority complex and this latest gem implies deep seated resentment and jealousy. She really does need some "help"

Nancy66 · 27/01/2013 14:22

Petite - she's doing a book.
