For me it would probably be:

Not reading the OP properly and going off on a tangent
Pulling a thread totally OT in order to have a two way jokey conversation with someone else that goes on for pages and pages
Looking up someone's posting history and saying 'well on 5th April 2006 you said this and now you're saying that.

OP posts:
BIWI · 24/01/2013 15:35

I hate the coy use of asterisks. If you don't want to say 'fuck' or 'cunt', you don't have to. It's not obligatory. And if you say 'fck or 'c*nt' we all know what you mean anyway.

And I really, really hate the PRIM - the private messagers - who won't post openly what they think but send PMs to posters instead. FFS, this is a forum, we're all safely in our own homes behind our own computers. Do you really think someone is going to come round and hit you if they disagree with you? Have the courage of your convictions and just post.

Oh, and another thing, now I'm on a roll, people who post or (usually spelt wrongly as 'breath') at the end of a post.

Pagwatch · 24/01/2013 15:35

The programme about bouncers on a year or so ago included a story about a bouncer trying to throw out a girl who was in a toilet stall having a relaxing shite while sucking off some bloke.
I don't like even having heard about that. If I'd seen it I would need therapy.

You never get stuff like that in Fred and Ginger movies.

BIWI · 24/01/2013 15:36

See - I can't even do the asterisk thing myself! Too hard. Prefer a good 'fuck'.

As it were.

fuzzypicklehead · 24/01/2013 15:36

I could come around and hit you. Do you live in my village? I don't know if I disagree enough to commute.

Pagwatch · 24/01/2013 15:37

I never believe it when people say 'you are all cows and lost of people have pmd me to say that they are too scared to post but I am being wonderful for standing up to you'
I think they are fibbing and actually everyone thinks they are being an arse.

Oh my god. You just TYPED that with your FINGERS. Grin

TantrumsAndBalloons · 24/01/2013 15:38

It's always baffled me, if the word cunt offends you so much you can't type it properly, why not just use another fucking word???

Hullygully · 24/01/2013 15:38

Biwi, darling I know we are all good friends and it's great to just be free and hang loose, but I had always thought of you more daintily, knitting, or drinking tea rather than writhing on a counterpane having a good f**k

I am horribly disturbed

PeppermintPasty · 24/01/2013 15:38

Did anyone ever explain "mansplaining"? I couldn't be arsed to RTFT.

GetOrf · 24/01/2013 15:39

lol at counterpane.

OH GOD that reminds me of the dp bedspread. Poor pag.

Hullygully · 24/01/2013 15:39

Paggy

I just didn't want to know that.

I didn't.

Were they up the wookie?

Pagwatch · 24/01/2013 15:40

Grin i know!

I am a total Margot.

CheerfulYank · 24/01/2013 15:40

I miss Beesimo :(

Pagwatch · 24/01/2013 15:41

Don't go there Getorf. I am scarred.

Pagwatch · 24/01/2013 15:42

Sorry Hully [shamefaced]

atthewelles · 24/01/2013 15:42

I think I'm starting to annoy myself actually.

I might open a thread on P&T parking and tell the OP they are BU and if they don't want a pensioner parking in a P&T space they might also like the names:

Louisa
Elizabeth
Stella
Fiona
Marguerite
Tabitha
Caroline
Judith
Lydia

Completely random comparisons.

So poster A says "AIBU to be really upset about this very specific set of circumstances?"

Poster B then lauches a full-on, frothing, go-for-the-jugular attack along the lines of "How dare you moan about those very specific circumstances. You think you've got problems? I've got [insert entirely different and fairly random set of circumstances] going on in my life. You selfish cowbag!"

Sometimes followed by "Oh but my problems don't matter because I'm not a ferret breeder who's allergic to Fridays" as though the OP has stated that only ferret breeders who are allergic to Fridays are entitled to any sympathy.

It generally leads to confusion and the end of the thread in a mess of ferrets and Fridays.

PrincessFiorimonde · 24/01/2013 15:44

Tufty
People who refer to the 'roof of their mouth' and spell 'roof' like house roof. FFS.

i dont understand but I haven't actually RTFT so maybe you explained this earlier?!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Smile

Oh and really random deductions.

Poster A: AIBU to be really upset that my lovely, bestest friend in the world who is kind and generous and so marvellous that I once nominated her for the nobel prize, has let me down just a teeny, tiny bit?

Poster B: You don't sound like you like her very much. She'd be much better off without a freeloading misery-guts who doesn't like her mother and probably steals her shoes when she's not looking.

Poster A: eh?

scarletfingernail · 24/01/2013 15:47

"I just asked my DH what he thinks and even he said YABU"

Oh right, well if your DH thinks that then it must be unreasonable Hmm

PrincessFiorimonde · 24/01/2013 15:49

Have just read Slubberdegullion's post at 12:48:47 and I love it.

Or should I just say yyy

pictish · 24/01/2013 15:50

I said the same on a 'shite you read on mumsnet' thread only a few days ago.

Why does anyone imagine that people here give a flying fuck what your dh thinks?
I don't. I've never met him. He's probably a twat.

TantrumsAndBalloons · 24/01/2013 15:51

I never ask my DHs opinion on a thread much less post it.
Lets be honest, if I don't care what his opinion is, I very much doubt hundreds of mumsnetters would give a flying fuck

LadyBeagleEyes · 24/01/2013 15:51

Jeez, this thread is funny.
I am genuinely loling.
LaQueen, I loved that Ireland thread, you got such a kicking but handled it with such aplomb.
