For me it would probably be:

Not reading the OP properly and going off on a tangent
Pulling a thread totally OT in order to have a two way jokey conversation with someone else that goes on for pages and pages
Looking up someone's posting history and saying 'well on 5th April 2006 you said this and now you're saying that.

Oh, yes, some of them do Pagwatch. I think they might even wear cheerleader skirts and twirl things in the air. Yes, I do.

Randall I made a point not to ask about baby names at ALL until my children were named. I don't want input full stop until the deed was done

Pandemoniaa · 24/01/2013 15:14

Definitely not you Bups. But I did leave AClue.

Pagwatch · 24/01/2013 15:14

Fan clubs with cheerleader uniforms would be amazing.

atthewelles · 24/01/2013 15:15

I think it would be cold. Have you seen the length of those skirts?

All these "what's for dinner" threads- does anyone else read them and think you lying arse, your 3 year old DCs is not eating herbed pan roasted salmon fillets on a bed a crushed potatoes and pea purée?

When my DCs were 3, they ate cheese. And that was it.

I have a fan club.

So there.

We have badges and everything.

RandallPinkFloyd · 24/01/2013 15:17

Well that's the thing CY, I didn't mention a thing to anyone in RL but had a bit of a crisis at the last minute and thought "ooh, there's a baby names section on MN, I'll have a quick ask on there", and then I wished I was dead.

GetOrf · 24/01/2013 15:18

I totally agree with hully that the best threads on MN by a country cuntry mile were Thickos on trip advisor and Gran Gran and all the songs.

I remember really, really laughing on the gran gran one as I typed

TECHNO
TECHNO
TECHNO
TECHNO

FunnysInLaJardin · 24/01/2013 15:18

see I don't think folk have fanclubs either. I have seen many a well known poster getting savaged by PO. In fact I would go as far as to say that if you are a regular and the thread turns against you you can get far more of a kicking than you might otherwise have done. You then have to wait for the thread to turn which is actually rather tiresome........

ClassFree · 24/01/2013 15:19

What gets me is the 'way too specific' threads.
"If you have a 2.4 yo DS and a 7 wo DD, what colour do you paint the living room?"
Grin
I just picture someone jumping up and hollering "Bingo! That's me! That's me! I qualify to answer this!"

Hullygully · 24/01/2013 15:20

Oh them was the days gerrof, them was

RandallPinkFloyd · 24/01/2013 15:20

classfree that just made me lol Grin

Very abrupt, telling it like it is in Short. Staccato. Sentences. You don't sound forthright and straight to the point. you sound rude.

Posters who accuse you of meaning something you didn't or put additional meaning onto your posts out of their own heads and force you to defend something you never actually said or thought in the first place.

In relationships when someone who has posted about her horrible relationship is told to LTB, but when she doesn't agree to immediately leave and dismantle her and her children's entire lives on the say so of faceless MNetters, certain posters get angry with her and say they are going to stop posting as the OP Is Just Not Listening.

Posters who say "well why did you get pregnant/have kids with this man?" When someone posts seeking advice on how to handle their horrible H/P.

Otherwise I LOVE MN Grin.

Another hateful comment

"it takes a village to raise a child"

No it doesn't. Look after your own kid and let me smoke my fag in peace.

Hullygully · 24/01/2013 15:21

What was your clue Pandadodah? Give us a clue to your clue. I'm rubbish at clues.

atthewelles · 24/01/2013 15:21

You are not allowed lol on this thread Randall. It's annoying.

OP posts:
Pagwatch · 24/01/2013 15:22

Arf at Bingo.

I never understand 'state or private for super bright 7 year old'

Firstly it depends on the schools you utter gumby and secondly it's never 'state or private for thick idle 7 year old. Is it. Huh!

GetOrf · 24/01/2013 15:22

Nooo, I have seen lots of regs tell other regs that they are being cunty.

It has happened to me with someone I have spoken to for years (paraphrase) 'normally you speak sense getorf eh? but that last post of yours makes you sound like a complete twat'

Greensleeves · 24/01/2013 15:23
