It's wrong, just all wrong. On the plus side, Poundland have multipacks of the old style bar now...

HerRoyalGoddess - you know that Kraft own Green & Blacks too, so they're probably coming for that next...

CDM now tastes cheap and powdery

It always tasted cheap and powdery. I do disagree with the change of shape though

Even the large bars have been buggered up here. It's a travesty - I've been loyal to CDM chocolate since I was 5 years old.

I will NOT be buying any of the new bars, one was enough for me to decide that it tastes of bloody talcum powder instead of luscious Dairy Milk.

I now avidly hunt for old style bars.

Kraft : Fuck off messing with my chocolate. If the cost of ingredients for the old recipe have gone up, then charge me more. I will still pay it if it means having BAR shaped, yummy tasting old Dairy Milk.

In fact I'd probably pay £3 a bar if it meant being able to have CDM when I need it...

I've never liked Galaxy, it's too claggy. Green & Blacks is nice, but expensive and just not the same as Dairy Milk. Nothing else compared to opening that purple wrapper and smelling Dairy Milk, and that first delectable BLOCK from every bar...

BRING BACK OUR DAIRY MILK HOW IT WAS YOU FUCKERS.

YANBU. I am pissed off about the new Aeros - less chocolate for the same price, so the price has effectively gone up. Bastards.

If they fuck with my G&B Maya Gold chocolate too, I will throw rotten tomatoes at the sneaky fuckers.

I will be RAGING.

They're messing with my chocolate, and a hormonal woman with no access to decent chocolate is NOT a pretty sight...

Right, so Flakes and Twirls are still the same then?
Who do Kraft think their customers are? When you fuck with a woman's chocolate, you have made an enemy for life!
Boycott Kraft!

So true about Roses too. We have always had a tin of them at Xmas, and they are not the same. Also, my tin had hardly any Brazilian Darknesses in it, which upset me greatly.

Lots of the Cadbury's chocolate producing has been moved abroad. We went to Cadbury World in October and in case you don't know the set up, every now and again on the way round they hand you some chocolate.
We were given 3 bars of chocolate and none of them were even made in the feckin place we were looking at!! They were all "produced under licence in the EU"

Same as taypottick am now sticking with flakes and twirls as they taste fantastic but that's because they're made in Ireland.I think Time Out bars are as well.

It's rubbish chhocolate anyway marketed by a huge US corporation. Don't buy it, just go toAldi and buy there Moser/Roth stuff which does have a lot of cocoa solids in it as opposed to palm oil etc

It's not the same - am glad it's not just me. It tastes sweeter and cheaper and fattier, more like that mouth-sick feel you get with American chocolate. There are lots of things I love about the USA but their chocolate is an abomination. And yes, I KNOW Dairy Milk is an abomination to French/Swiss/dark chocolate lovers, but it was our abomination. [weeps]. Nothing's been the same since they took the foil and paper off the old Yorkies.

And YES, Irish Dairy Milk has always been a million times nicer. I'm now off to Poundland to investigate the old supplies...

Listen up, Kraft. Stop fecking with my favourite foodstuffs.

Cheese doesn't need to be square and symmetrical yet you made it so with your freakish 'cheese food' slices.

Cadbury's Dairy Milk needs to be in squares yet you make it ROUND. ROUND!

WHAT MADNESS IS THIS?

NiniLegsInTheAir · 08/01/2013 16:20

When Kraft took over Cadbury didn't they promise that they wouldn't change the chocolate we loved? Lies, all lies. Wankers.

Bastards! No wonder we live in Broken Britain, Kraft have destroyed our cultural and gastranomic heritage!

RuleBritannia Totally agree about Americans wanting to make everything American. I've been to America and eaten their 'chocolate'. It's vile and tastes like crap. Cadbury's is (was?) the best chocolate in the world.

Great name by the way.

Celebrations were shit this year too!

We've been to Cadbury World a coupleof times and they trade relentlessly on their Quaker history and nostalgia without so much as a mention that they sold out to KraftHmm

I love the social history side of the Cadbury brothers story being a relocated Brummie and the smell of chocolate around Bourneville makes me feel like I'm in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but their Chocolate is not what it was....

I haven't read the whole thread. I thought something was off with the Christmas chocolates this year though. Sad

If Kraft want a "focus group" I think they've got one here though! Grin

BRING BACK THE OLD DAIRY MILK!!!!

Go HERE and fill the page with outrage and ire! I was upset about our tin of Roses over Christmas as they taste yuck now, and now THIS! Corner-nicking recipe-changing bastards.
