Why are:

  1. Certain items of clothing = "mumsy" eg bootcuts, tunics, some boots but not others (forget which)
  1. Short wide jumpers are inherently better than others
  1. Anyone over a size 12 = fat
  1. Fat = mumsy
  1. That thinking the above makes you a cleverer and more knowing alnd all-round better person with a slight pitying disdain for those that don't agree.

Lastly I would like a definition of "Mumsy" and why it is an insult.

Thank you.

Oh I don't like the sound of that at all.

What about regretful socks?

My bra has periods of resentful begrudgery.
The bastard.

LRDtheFeministDude · 06/12/2012 17:02

I'm on the side of your bra, sue. We should liberate them from this thankless slavery.

TuftyFinch · 06/12/2012 17:03

If you team them all together with a tunic you'll be the queen of the world.

We're having an ironic tea: pie, chips and beans. I'll wear my hat.

SuePurblyFeltYourPresents · 06/12/2012 17:03

No we should NOT. I need them.

HullyEastergully · 06/12/2012 17:04

What sort of pie?

OP posts:
LRDtheFeministDude · 06/12/2012 17:05

Ah, good point. I was assuming I'd walk about with DH patiently walking backwards assuming the cupping posture, but that might be too much effort.

TuftyFinch · 06/12/2012 17:05

Good old Linda's 'Farmhouse' pie.

KrisMoose · 06/12/2012 17:07

It's nearly time to free-boob

SuePurblyFeltYourPresents · 06/12/2012 17:09

Pore old Linda.
She and Macca knew style when they saw it

I always thought that posts were deleted if reported, but I can't think who would have bothered in this case.

Here is what (I think) happened:

I said slightly challenging things about the whole premise for the thread (Hully not liking the way the other one was going so reframing the whole debate in a different place with subtly altered parameters which make the people who were disagreeing with her on the other one look more U than they are). I also asked Hully about siblings which was a bit personal but she didn't have to answer. I suppose the pointing out what a bossy thing to do this is, might have been construed as a personal attack and reported - but by whom? don't think Hully herself would have...?

Hully FERREAKED out and wrote a list of reasons why I was being UPPITTY and daring to challenge her was UNNASSEPTABLE

I laughed at this post (in a post) (basically) but also thanked Hully for pointing out why this is not quite a thread about a thread

Now, all of the above is deleted. AND another post of Hully's, whcih I didn't see and am a little curious about. Oh well it's probably just Hully trying to put me on the naughty step.

Also: did the thread disappear totally for a while? [boggle] Maybe it got taken away as a thread about a thread and then put back as it is ACTUALLY NOT, as explained.

HullyEastergully · 06/12/2012 17:12

The other post said (and I have NO IDEA why it was deleted) and it was in response for you trying to say OO look she's so cross and thereby undermine the point and the fact I am right:

People tend to react angrily when falsely accused.

It's annoying.

OP posts:
LRDtheFeministDude · 06/12/2012 17:12

I reported your posts because I thought they were a nasty and unjustified personal attack. Hope that helps. I'm not sure why you think I shouldn't have bothered, but oddly enough I don't take your view into account since you were the one being rude.

FunnysInLaJardin · 06/12/2012 17:12

ahhhh deletions. I needed support earlier in the week when I was called a tosser for complaining about folk who report posts. I think the thread attracted folk who liked reporting Sad

HullyEastergully · 06/12/2012 17:12

Is Linda's pie nice? I have only had her sausages (oo missus)

I like her sausages but not her pies. Or Rustic Wholesome Bakes or whatever it is. Pie without the lid, I imagine.

HullyEastergully · 06/12/2012 17:15

Was it you that kept calling me Hulky once before?
