A women has been giving my friend glaring looks whenever she sees her. This women walks or drives past my friends house on the school run. This has been going on for a couple of years if and when she sees her.

I saw her earlier walking down the estate, as i was coming home, I stopped my car and got out and called her on it.

Was IBU I sticking up for my friend?

Depends what words and tone of voice you used really.

SantyClaws · 04/12/2012 17:39

all sounds a bit childish

what did she say?

Shutupanddrive · 04/12/2012 17:40

What did you/she say?

gordyslovesheep · 04/12/2012 17:41

not at all unreasonable to approach a stranger in the dark ranting and hissing like a mad woman over something that is nothing to do with you - are you always this crazy?

(I am sure you will assure us you sensibly parked your car, walked politely up to her, said 'excuse me I am a friend of -- and I was wondering if you realised you where upsetting her ...' but I don't believe you Grin )

chrismissymoomoomee · 04/12/2012 17:42

You stopped your car and had a go at her for looking at your friend? Xmas Confused

MincePiesAddict · 04/12/2012 17:42

I really think it's up to your friend to 'call her on it', if she wants to.

YuleBritannia · 04/12/2012 17:43

Ooh where is this going?

HairyGrotter · 04/12/2012 17:44

Haha this has made me chuckle. I'm a pretty hostile soul, but even I draw the line at approaching someone for giving my mate dirty looks Confused. Are we back in 1992?

rubyslippers · 04/12/2012 17:45

You sound totally hostile

TessGoesDirectToBethlehem · 04/12/2012 17:45

She could be short sighted and squinting rather than giving evils.

Cantheyreportme · 04/12/2012 17:45

Ok, me 'have you got a problem, what's with all the looks,'

Women ' I don't know who you are, I've never spoke to you before'

I repeated the above that my friend was fed up, and she said.

'excuse me but I'm on the way to school, you are a stranger, I don't know who you are'

Reading that convo back, can't you see how nuts it is?!

akaemmafrost · 04/12/2012 17:46

Reverse AIBU.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 04/12/2012 17:46
Alisvolatpropiis · 04/12/2012 17:47

This is a reverse one isn't it?

Sparklingbrook · 04/12/2012 17:47

She sounds like you totally confused her then.

HairyGrotter · 04/12/2012 17:47

She handled it well, you didn't. I'd have probably ripped you a new arsehole had you approached me in that manner. Fair play to the 'evil looks' lady

CajaDeLaMemoria · 04/12/2012 17:47

This sounds utterly barmy.

I'm not surprised she didn't answer your question, she was probably feeling intimidated. Or that you were a raving lunatic.

Yes, YABU.

Frontpaw · 04/12/2012 17:47

I'm not surprised. She probably has another thread on here saying that a stranger accosted in the street and yelled at her for looking at someone else.

Cantheyreportme · 04/12/2012 17:47

Can the women report me?

DejaB00 · 04/12/2012 17:50
