Thread deletion.

I'm a bit Confused and Hmm that a thread has been deleted seemingly because my reply (the only one) wasn't intelligent enough! In the past i've requested one of my threads to be deleted but was told no as there was no good enough reason.

No doubt this will be deleted too as it's a thread about a (now non-existent) thread.

That is seriously all it was. there was like 4 posts on the thread - the op, fluffy, and two huffy ones from the OP and that was it.

And my wonderful reply is lost to the ether for ever

Why don't we have thread right here in the barn? Smile

puds11 · 22/09/2012 18:01

Was just going to suggest the line.

Chuck 'em on here.

LineRunner · 22/09/2012 18:01

the thread. Oh FFS.

fluffyraggies · 22/09/2012 18:01

Sorry i'm being slow - dealing with kids.

I'm 100% prepared to accept the site was wrong in some way. I just felt a bit crap thinking i'd ruined it in one swoop with my lack of knowledge.

I think it was because the OP was a twat to be honest.
Grin

Proudnscary · 22/09/2012 18:02

I've looked at the site. I think it's unprofessional and clumsy but I don't think it seems sinister. It's making a few leaps and being heavy handed but in general is the kind of thing those in the know would say about abusive behaviour.

Unless I am spectacularly missing the point and it's linked to some dreadful organisation and I am being even more unintelligent than fluffy Grin

fluffyraggies · 22/09/2012 18:03

No it wasn't me who asked about stick peeing Grin

LineRunner · 22/09/2012 18:04

I think though that the OP shoud have debated with fluffy and other posters and explained his or her case.

Mydogsleepsonthebed · 22/09/2012 18:05

Fluffyraggies I think you're like totally right like ALL the time

will that work LemarchandsBox do you think?

I said something like :

Whilst I haven't looked any further than the first page of that website because I find it's overt bible thumping offensive, it is possible for a woman to be an abuser. DP's friend is in a very abusive relationship where he is being physically, emotionally and financially abused and it's very hard to see a way out for him. (I've posted about it before you can search my user name for the back story)

Farewell, usual, and all who sail in you.

fluffyraggies · 22/09/2012 18:08

mydog - i've also posted recently about how i felt about helping a man (as opposed to a woman) if you suspect abuse.

Loving the idea that i'm protected by MN mafia Grin
Sadly i think that isn't the case. There must be some reason we'll never know about.

Empusa · 22/09/2012 18:14

Do you know if it was a poster who'd posted before or could they have been a bridge dweller? Confused Can't imagine MN deleting a thread on an OP's say so really

LineRunner · 22/09/2012 18:15

Aaaah.

fluffyraggies · 22/09/2012 18:23

I read this board and Rships most days, and the OP was one i've seen before - but not often. Once or twice in the last 2 weeks or so.
