To think Kate Middleton should have kept her tits in

Surely she can't be unaware that she's one of the most photographed women in the world and there are paparazzi everywhere.
I know in an ideal lovely world she should be able to skinny dip in privacy, but in the real world I think she is being a bit naiive to go topless and then be so upset when the pictures are published

People explode ifthey see boobsthen ? what is kate meant to do , does she have to get dressed under a towel just incase somebody might take a picture , she was on bloody holiday in private garden and maybe just want to let them flow int he breeze Grin she has no obligation to us not to do this , she was on HOLIDAY

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 14/09/2012 08:56

Her honeymoon pictures were sold, her BIL had pictures sold, she is one of the most photographed women and she went topless, it can't be a surprise that there would be a possibility of her picture taken.

I feel sorry for her as she deserves privacy holidaying on private land.

WhatYouLookingAt · 14/09/2012 08:57

Should she not sit on a loo either, in case her arse gets papped? After all, she knows the score, and isn't allowed any privacy, so its up to her to never ever show an inch of skin.....

Hmm It's just victim blaming. She asked for it, didn't she?
NotQuiteCockney · 14/09/2012 08:59

She should staple all her clothes on, like proper women do. Hmm

Wasn't it the French Paparazzi that chased Diana and Dodi into the tunnel in Paris before their fatal crash?? I despise them, the lot of them. If pictures like that would appear in my regular daily paper I would refuse to buy it. Unfortunately it is hard to take that stance if it's a French paper publishing them.

diddl · 14/09/2012 09:03

I find it just so sad that there would be an interest-that she is topless on holiday at a private villa.

And I thought that topless wasn´t out of the ordinary in France anyway?

valiumredhead · 14/09/2012 09:04

I don't think anyone has said it was her fault, just that she's being naive if she doesn't think this will happen. As someone said earlier she might not give a fuck and all the 'saddened' business is just from the palace.

fluffyraggies · 14/09/2012 09:04

I'm happy to see none of our (british) papers have run the pictures. So far.

It's a step in the right direction.

Does anyone ever remember anything about like this with the Queen? I don't. She does bloody well to stay away from 'scandalous stuff'.

valiumredhead · 14/09/2012 09:05

fluffy it's on just about ever paper just pixleated out.

Sirzy · 14/09/2012 09:07

When the queen was Kate's age I very much doubt the cameras were anywhere near as powerful and certainly the media wasn't as powerful for getting messages around the world in seconds

Mrsjay · 14/09/2012 09:09

the Queen was Queen when she was kates age and had children don't think she had time for topless anything and of course her clothes are stapled on daily

fluffyraggies · 14/09/2012 09:10

Oh right! vallium didn't realise that's what they were doing. I just heard them say something on BBC about British press not running the pics.

Oh well ... pixleated nipples are a step in the right direction? Grin

PiedWagtail · 14/09/2012 09:11

Yes, YABU! she has every right to expect privacy in a private house and private estate. she wasn't on St Tropez beach sunbathing naked! She is 'on show' and working a lot of the time and she needs privacy too. She's done really well in all the public appearances she's had - getting everything right - dress and behaviour, so she is well within her rights to expect privacy in this situ. Poor woman. Crap papparazzi. They shuold be ashamed.

diddl · 14/09/2012 09:12

"just that she's being naive if she doesn't think this will happen."

But then does that mean that they don´t have any privacy anywhere?

If they were on a secluded private estate-how were the pictures taken.

Long lens?

Does that bot constitute invasion of privacy at all?

Mrsjay · 14/09/2012 09:13

you would have thought eh Confused

Balls to that. She should be able to dress up as a chicken and spank Will's arse with a spatula if she wished, in private, on holiday without some pap bloody intruding*

Best thing ever written on a thread.

MrsCampbellBlack · 14/09/2012 09:14

YABU it was a total invasion of her privacy - I'd be pissed off if someone published topless photos of me.

I feel very sorry for her.

fluffyraggies · 14/09/2012 09:16

I think it should diddl. There must be a way to uphold this 'reasonable expectation to privacy' thing. Lens' are going to get longer after all.

It must be very sad this, actually, for William, when you think about the fact that it was the French press chasing Diana's car that caused the crash (allegedly)

URMyDinosaur · 14/09/2012 09:17

What is scandalous about being topless in your own private garden? I'm starting to feel sorry for Kate and I'm not a royalist by any stretch. Really hope she doesn't end up like Diana. I hope she also does the boobs meh thing too.

TheDogDidIt · 14/09/2012 09:17

She was on private property. The principle is exactly the same as if she'd been in her own bedroom. Would you say she was naive to be undressed in there? Surely she should know that a rogue member of staff might hide a camera... Hmm

hawaiiWave · 14/09/2012 09:19

I think she should be able to do what she wants without press intrusion, however realistically she should know she's likely to get papped if she gets her breasts out. So Yanbu. It's a bit crazy reaction from the royals, if she's that worried she should have stayed clothed whilst outside, I have never wanted to go topless...

TheDogDidIt · 14/09/2012 09:19

Whatever I may think of the monarchy, I certainly don't believe that my tax money should entitle me to see pictures of them with their clothes off.

Lizzylou · 14/09/2012 09:22

YABU
For all the reasons on this thread.

Just because she is now a royal doesn't mean that we all own her and she doesn't deserve any privacy.

BrandyAlexander · 14/09/2012 09:27

It was a private moment with her dh on private land. Perhaps she should never have a crap again in the toilet in case someone paps her doing that. If in the future someone uses a long lens to take a picture of her giving birth I will await your post saying that she should have known that someone would take a picture of her. That's also a private moment, no? where is the line? Hmm.
