To think Kate Middleton should have kept her tits in

Surely she can't be unaware that she's one of the most photographed women in the world and there are paparazzi everywhere.
I know in an ideal lovely world she should be able to skinny dip in privacy, but in the real world I think she is being a bit naiive to go topless and then be so upset when the pictures are published

They're just tits. Not weapons of mass destruction.

Nancy66 · 15/09/2012 12:50

err...no. never mind.

QuickLookBusy · 15/09/2012 12:52

Nancy, I think asking posters to put themselves in someone else's position is a very valid and isn't pointless.

What is wrong in asking "how would you feel if you were in your garden etc etc?"

No one is saying it will happen or that anyone would be intereseted, just imagine if it did.

EdMcDunnough · 15/09/2012 12:53

It would be cooler, yes, definitely, but that's not everyone's aim.

messyisthenewtidy · 15/09/2012 12:54

"If you're in the public eye you need to behave (or be seen to behave) in a certain manner.

This means:
I) cherie Blair - get dressed before you answer the door
Ii) Catherine zeta Jones, if you want to smoke when you're pregnant, do it in your hotel room, not the balcony
Iii) Kate, you fought for this position long enough, cover 'em up. "

Interesting how all those three are women Hmm?

BonnyDay · 15/09/2012 12:55

The bloody Monaco lot never have clothes on. They're still alive.

Oh ah er well .. Most of em. ;)

RosemaryHoyt · 15/09/2012 12:57

I think if you are in a house/hotel you should be able to do as you please, but outside, no. I wouldn't go topless anywhere, not least because my boobs hang to my navel. She is a bit thick if she thinks long lenses don't exist and people don't want to but that stuff. That said. Paps should keep out of it.

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 15/09/2012 12:57

If I had had my private honeymoon pictures sold, privacy invaded, seen my BIL's pictures published, known pictures of my dead MIL were taken, as a wiman in my thirties and having had my wedding televised, I would cotton on that going topless and partly pulling down my bikini bottoms when bending my arse towards the exposed part of the pool by a nearby road was not a good idea.

As a sun safety issue too, it is best to apply suncream before you go outside.

EdMcDunnough · 15/09/2012 12:59

Yes, goodness, like wearing a short skirt on a night out. It would be stupid not to realise that rapists exist.

Honestly! Please.

Thanks MaryZ. It puts it in perspective.

I haven't seen any of the coverage of this - not looked at the photos themselves or anything in the papers or news. I just feel bad for her - I am not interested in her breasts.

The people who did this are just utter bastards. That's all I can think.

Flatbread · 15/09/2012 13:05

It is a bit like leaving your front door or windows open, if you step out of your home. You don't ask to get robbed, but you are certainly increasing the probability that might happen.

There is something to be said for personal responsibility and taking precautions relevant to your situation.

It is not blaming the victim, just common sense.

diddl · 15/09/2012 13:06

Why is she so photographed, though?

She´s not a celebrity that needs/wants the publicity?

Why aren´t they only papped when on official business?

I mean it´s crazy, isn´t it?

To the extent that her parents/sister make the news?

Who the fuck cares about what they do in their own time?

Unless it would be in our interest to know?

diddl · 15/09/2012 13:07

"There is something to be said for personal responsibility and taking precautions relevant to your situation."

Which I would say she did.

BonnyDay · 15/09/2012 13:07

Lol. We've all googled them.

Flatbread · 15/09/2012 13:08

And MaryZ, you can easily see half a mile away with normal binoculars. So yes, Kate and Wiiliam were careless and should have known better.

Trills · 15/09/2012 13:09

Havent read the whole thread, because I'm on my phone, because I'm by a beach where women of all shapes and sizes and ages have their boobs out.

YABU. That is all.

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 15/09/2012 13:09

The constant smiles from the Middleton women had me thinking they loved it all. I am now wondering if these women are in the words of Coleen Nolan "Smiling assins" and very fake.

gettingeasier · 15/09/2012 13:11

Gosh it doesnt look like a very nice place to be on holiday Hmm

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 15/09/2012 13:12

Bony, no I didn't google them, saw a link on another site.

EdMcDunnough · 15/09/2012 13:18

I haven't googled them either. Or seen them, or bought a paper, or looked at a paper...

why would I?
