To think Kate Middleton should have kept her tits in

Surely she can't be unaware that she's one of the most photographed women in the world and there are paparazzi everywhere.
I know in an ideal lovely world she should be able to skinny dip in privacy, but in the real world I think she is being a bit naiive to go topless and then be so upset when the pictures are published

But easily seen by a pap. So not private

QuickLookBusy · 15/09/2012 12:20

Gosh what has she said myneighbour?

perceptionreality · 15/09/2012 12:20

But she wasn't in public BonnyDay. Should she also not have a bath in case someone is peering through the bathroom window with a camera?

DolomitesDonkey · 15/09/2012 12:21

If you're in the public eye you need to behave (or be seen to behave) in a certain manner.

This means:
I) cherie Blair - get dressed before you answer the door
Ii) Catherine zeta Jones, if you want to smoke when you're pregnant, do it in your hotel room, not the balcony
Iii) Kate, you fought for this position long enough, cover 'em up.

BonnyDay · 15/09/2012 12:21

Well yeah I agree there
Still. Put your top on. It won't kill you.

noddyholder · 15/09/2012 12:24

I still think this is about whether or not its ok to take the picture and not what she was or wasn't wearing. The fuss has made it bigger than it is though all the talk of Diana etc has come from the palace. It will go away if they let it. The people who think she should have privacy are shouting the loudest and talking the most Grin

EdMcDunnough · 15/09/2012 12:26

'easily seen by a pap' is a bit of an anachronism....have you not heard of long range lenses, people hiding in bushes, climbing up trees, breaking into property to get a better view etc...

I can't believe you're being so naive on this BD!

noddyholder · 15/09/2012 12:27

I agree with BD she should have brazened it. She took her top off so obv has no issues with topless so stop whimpering now

EdMcDunnough · 15/09/2012 12:30

Afaik she isn't 'whimpering' and I hate terms like that. She is angry, and it's justified - or would you be happy about some creep following you about and taking naked pictures of you in your garden? Which you thought was not overlooked?

And then publishing them?

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 15/09/2012 12:30

She waited and waited, she was groomed, given a very easy time she is thirty not a teenager like Di, and despite all these advantages, maturity and the honeymoon and Harry publications forget it Kate is off my nice list now, she showed her true colours to me now.

PretzelTime · 15/09/2012 12:30

Agree all women should always keep their clothes on in private, never change or bathe otherwise they're sluts.

QuickLookBusy · 15/09/2012 12:31

Still more victim blaming.

What the photographer did is illegally, but never mind she should shut up and suck it up.

Nice.

QuickLookBusy · 15/09/2012 12:32

Illegal

noddyholder · 15/09/2012 12:32

Someone would have to be seriously deranged to do that as I am of no interest to the tabloids whereas she is and always will be and so this sort of thing is expected. If its not acceptable for her it should be unacceptable for all and those mags would cease to be. The UK buys them by the bucketful though way more than any other country. The palace are making such a meal of it

Nancy66 · 15/09/2012 12:33

STOP comparing this to ordinary people in their gardens.

  1. nobody would give a flying fuck about any of you sunbathing topless in your gardens
  2. pictures of you wouldn't be worth a fortune
  3. you're not paid for by the public purse 4)you won't be queen one day
PretzelTime · 15/09/2012 12:34

Also she should have worn a burkha like chaste women do

PretzelTime · 15/09/2012 12:35

I never change or bathe or walk around indecently dressed in private, always wear a burka because if a voyeur sees me and takes photo I'll be to blame otherwise

QuickLookBusy · 15/09/2012 12:35

And maybe they don't want this to "go away"?

Maybe they want to sue to stop this happening again, so that for the rest of her life she can, if she chooses, pick her nose on private property and not fear some stalker talking a photo of her doing it.

EdMcDunnough · 15/09/2012 12:42

Nancy, I fail to understand how any of your four points excuses what has happened.

Expected is not the same as justified.

Nancy66 · 15/09/2012 12:44

it doesn't excuse it but the comparisons that keep popping up are pointless

EdMcDunnough · 15/09/2012 12:46

No, I don't think so.

The only differences are those you have pointed out, which might explain why it has happened, but do not excuse or justify it.

It should not have happened. And it was not her fault it did.

Nancy66 · 15/09/2012 12:48

they're pretty big, important differences though aren't they?

BonnyDay · 15/09/2012 12:49

She should do the state opening of parliament with her tits oot.

Rolls eyes at victim blaming.

Either get your tits out and don't care. Or don't.

EdMcDunnough · 15/09/2012 12:49

Yes, of course, and as I said they explain WHY it happened - but they don't make it ok. Or her fault.

I thought that was really simple to conclude. The paparazzi aren't known for behaving morally or legally are they.

BonnyDay · 15/09/2012 12:50

In fact not caring would be a far cooler response.
Nicely worded message to Media.
