To think Kate Middleton should have kept her tits in

Surely she can't be unaware that she's one of the most photographed women in the world and there are paparazzi everywhere.
I know in an ideal lovely world she should be able to skinny dip in privacy, but in the real world I think she is being a bit naiive to go topless and then be so upset when the pictures are published

If someone was chasing me I would not speed to get away from them - much more likely to duck down so I was out of view. If you are in a car going at such high speeds and not wearing a seatbelt, much as I hate the paps, it is ridiculous to blame them entirely.

EldritchCleavage · 14/09/2012 13:32

In defence of Diana's security officer, Rhys-Jones, he was overruled by Fayed and his security numpties, which is what led them into difficulties in the first place, as I understand it. He gave proper advice and was ignored.

donnie · 14/09/2012 13:34

well have a look at the findings of the 2007 - 2008 inquest wHich concludes that the paps on bikes were a SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTORY FACTOR in her death. They are available online.

But of course, feel free to disagree with the findings of the inquest. Yes she should have worn a seatbelt but didn't deserve to be chased like a fucking fox. Oh wait, sorry, yes she did! of course! she was in the public eye!.

expatinscotland · 14/09/2012 13:35

Who cares?

valiumredhead · 14/09/2012 13:37

Often they were there because she had tipped them off herself.

thebeesnees79 · 14/09/2012 13:40

hahaha I think its amazing that she got her royal tits out! more fool her, she is in the public eye and must know people will hide in bushes to get her photograph. I say tough titty whilst laughing my arse off.

Nancy66 · 14/09/2012 13:41

and other inquests cleared the paparazzi of any blame

like I said, they behaved badly but had the driver been sober I doubt she'd be dead.

theDudesmummy · 14/09/2012 13:41

I have not read the whole thread, but have never been able to understand this obsession with people's bare boobs as some kind of amazing and noteworthy item. So what if someone's top is off? So what if all their clothes are off? It's a human body, we all have one, we've all seen them, get over it.

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 14/09/2012 13:43

Well you can't have a high speed car chase if you're not in a car going at high speed, can you? It's not like the paps were going to shoot her in the head if they did catch up!

donnie · 14/09/2012 13:52

wow. So many unabashed apologists for the press behaving like disgusting vultures here. I am seriously shocked. People quite happy for women to be chased, harrassed and violated.

I am actually very sad.

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 14/09/2012 13:55

No, of course the press were being completely irresponsible and scummy, but drunk driver, high speed and no seat belt are the three things that stick out for me in that case.

In Middleton-Breastgate, of course it is scummy and wrong of the photographer, and Kate Middleton can and do as she likes with her breasts. However the talk of this being a 'bitter blow' etc, and indeed it being such big news, is frankly daft.

sheeplikessleep · 14/09/2012 13:57

YABU, disgusting behaviour by the photographer and the magazine they're published in.

diddl · 14/09/2012 14:01

I can´t see how these pics can have been obtained legally-does that mean nothing at all?

Nancy66 · 14/09/2012 14:09

diddl - they haven't been.

EldritchCleavage · 14/09/2012 14:10

Wrong to take them and doubly wrong to publish them. But as Pagwatch said ages ago, wrong too to create a market for them by buying the magazines and newspapers that publish them.

diddl · 14/09/2012 14:17

A palace source has said-"a red line has been crossed"

???

What´s the significance of red?

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 14/09/2012 14:18

I saw the pictures, if what I saw was real, I hope they sue. The worst one was Kate bent over with her bum towards camera, William was at her side rubbing in sun cream on her back and she had partially taken down her bikini bottoms her top was off, so her bum is partially covered and she is not far off as naked as her BIL.

EldritchCleavage · 14/09/2012 14:27

So intrusive you feel the need to seek them out and then describe them to everyone, MyNeighbour?

DawnFrancis · 14/09/2012 14:27

It's terrible. It's not up to her to think like a creep. Who would want their tits beamed round the world? Ok, Jordan, but not me for starters. But I guess everyone is looking at them-my neighbour's comment was "not as big as I thought"!

Hulababy · 14/09/2012 14:29

She shouldn't have to think about it when she is in a private chateau on holiday.

The papparazi and the media that published it are the ones at fault - for invading someone's privacy in this way.

We should not be blaming Kate Middleton for the pictures. Thats a slippery slope. Blame the photographer not the unwilling, unaware subject of the photo!

donnie · 14/09/2012 14:30

nice one MyNeighbour. I hope you feel better for having taken the time and trouble.

Viviennemary · 14/09/2012 14:38

Of course it's wrong she should not have privacy. But that's the name of the game. So she just has to be a lot more careful if she doesn't want this kind of thing happening in future. As long as their is megabucks for this kind of photograph, it isn't going to stop. It's all down to money.

ImaginateMum · 14/09/2012 14:41

I think that everyone, especially in a high profile position, needs to feel they can escape. They were in somewhere which should really have been as private as their bedroom.

toysoldiers · 14/09/2012 14:44

It is absolutely ridiculous to suggest that on a secluded estate, on a private holiday with her husband, she is naive for believing she wouldn't be photographed.

It is not the same as you sitting in your semi whilst your neighbour is mowing his lawn.

And absolutely disgusting for a magazine to cynically publish them whilst she is touring Muslim places of worship on official duties.

Luckily in our country the majority don't give a shit but it seems to be a deliberate sabotage of her first foreign trip. This is what we pay the royals for.

And as for people asking why she did it. I can only imagine the hullabaloo in Style & Beauty when Kate shows up at a gala dinner with tan lines Grin

noddyholder · 14/09/2012 14:47

This is classic tomorrows chip wrapper stuff. As expat said who cares? There is no need for us to see this but the public have a real appetite for this stuff and I don't believe anything will stop it.
