and take away their chain link fencing, so that I have more room for my caravan? They rent off the council and I own my own home.

I prseume this is what has happened to you?

lljkk · 23/08/2012 19:55

Blimey OP, how big a hedge, how much fencing? I bet they sold it for scrap, as well. Would they try to claim your fence+hedge were on their property, that somehow the boundary was wrong? When did this happen?

Let me guess, their stonking great big caravan overlooks your garden, too?

Serious criminal damage stuff, soliciters could be getting involved.

HecateHarshPants · 23/08/2012 19:59

Contact the council, tell them that the property has been vandalised by the people next door, and can they please come and replace the chainlink and write to next door, telling them to leave the boundary alone?

RaisinDEtre · 23/08/2012 20:01

what hec said

(I want a rubber stamp made that says just that)

Kladdkaka · 23/08/2012 20:06

Yes, get the council involved. My neighbour did similar when I lived in a housing association house. The housing officer went spare.

picnicbasketcase · 23/08/2012 20:08

Defo what Hecate said. Ruddy nerve.

thismumismad · 23/08/2012 20:24

They left all of the cuttings in my garden too which prevented my husband from walking down the path until he cleared it, and they also left a tree that came from their garden. Their daughter popped her head out of a window and told my son, xxxx had permission to do it and it was all on our side. I shall be putting pictures on my profile later after I have done dinner. You can decide for yourselves.

OP posts:
Kladdkaka · 23/08/2012 20:28

Pictures? Oooh yes please.

GragPop · 23/08/2012 20:28

Agree with contact the council.

thismumismad · 23/08/2012 20:46

pictures are up

OP posts:
NewlyMintedPeasant · 23/08/2012 20:46

can't see them

Kladdkaka · 23/08/2012 20:47

Your profile isn't public.

HecateHarshPants · 23/08/2012 20:47

you have to make them public.

Are you going to take this to the council?

Trazzletoes · 23/08/2012 20:51

They are legally required to give you the hedge back(!) which is why they left it on your land, I would imagine. But they shouldn't have given you THEIR tree and clearly shouldn't have removed it all in the first place!!! Def what everyone above has said. Notify the Council ASAP. Who do they reckon gave them permission to do it?! They are def BU.

BoneyBackJefferson · 23/08/2012 20:56

Trazzle

They are legally obliged to ask if you want the cuttings from their side back.

but given what they have done they are just continuing on their cuntish streak.

Trazzletoes · 23/08/2012 20:58

Oops obviously slept through that class! Apologies OP! Tbh I think it's more likely that they are just being knobs anyway...

thismumismad · 23/08/2012 21:11

sorry my profile should now be visible to you lovely people.

OP posts:
TheWonderfulFanny · 23/08/2012 21:13
Shock
Kladdkaka · 23/08/2012 21:13

Holy crap! They've utterly destroyed it. I'd be absolutely fucking livid. Council house or no coucil house.

thismumismad · 23/08/2012 21:14

this happened on sunday and the police were informed that night. The council were called on monday morning. The police have yet to make an appearance, but I need a crime number from them to be able to get the chainlink replaced.

OP posts:
TheWonderfulFanny · 23/08/2012 21:14

That caravans half in your garden isn't it?

Kladdkaka · 23/08/2012 21:15

Have they shifted the caravan off your land yet?
