and take away their chain link fencing, so that I have more room for my caravan? They rent off the council and I own my own home.

Justgetting - whether you own or rent, you have right of access to your own home! Have you tried getting landlord involved?

OhLimpPricks · 24/08/2012 17:55

Terrible cunts.

Sparklyblue · 24/08/2012 18:16

Wtf were they thinking when they did this. Cheeky bastards.

Lambzig · 24/08/2012 18:26

Cheeks and law breaking sods. Unbelievable.

Spuddybean · 24/08/2012 18:54

how do people justify this in their minds. it is so odd. there must be some rationalisation - or am i projecting normal human consideration onto people who just don't have any?

Jamillalliamilli · 24/08/2012 23:19

The Wonderful, I feel such a coward saying this, but I?m afraid like Thismumismad I?m afraid of them. They can and do, make my life hell very easily, and once they get going really enjoy doing it and there?s nine of them.

Going to the H/A angers them further and my life gets worse. It?s easier to avoid confrontation than to deal with the repercussions of standing up to them because there isn?t anyone to stand up for me afterwards, so I'm always going to lose.

Spuddy the rationalisation is these people want to do something that's clearly not on/it?s convenient for them, and the other person is in the way/obviously inconvenienced by it, so if they can find the other person, in their mind somehow lesser, powerless, ?entitled? to less, or getting more than they ?should?, they can do these things and feel justified according to their rules.

If Thismumismad owned her home they wouldn?t dare do what they've done.

thismumismad · 25/08/2012 11:48

I have added another picture from further back which shows better how far over the caravan is.

Shock Have you spoken to the council yet? What are they saying?
ClaimedByMe · 25/08/2012 11:55

Is your house the house on the end? I am speechless!!!!!

I hope it gets sorted.

TraineeBabyCatcher · 25/08/2012 13:11

Im guessing yours end where the drainpipe is?

lljkk · 25/08/2012 13:28

Shock Shock Shock at latest pictures.

TheCunningStunt · 25/08/2012 13:34

Cheeky gits!! Call a traffic officer and It towed!!

Jamillalliamilli · 25/08/2012 13:48

I hope on Tuesday they're ordered to remove it, nasty gits.

thismumismad · 25/08/2012 14:18

Mine is indeed the house on the end. The drainpipe is actually on her side. The caravan as far as I am aware belongs to the boyfriend. He is the one that did the dirty deed.

ivykaty44 · 25/08/2012 14:26

send the dc out with a cricket bat and ball Wink

AlwaysHoldingOnToStars · 25/08/2012 14:35

Give them their tree back. Through the window of the caravan. What shits.

Spuddybean · 25/08/2012 14:43

I am so horrified that people would behave like this. and just i see what you are saying about how they justify it, but i can't see how anyone would see any difference whether your neighbours are council or not. Surely it's still their home and territory. How could you genuinely believe you have more right to anything than any other human being? Utter cunts.

Sallyingforth · 25/08/2012 16:57

Another thought.... some councils forbid caravans being kept in their front gardens. Your neighbour's house might have such a restriction.
It might be worth ringing the housing dept and asking if there is such a rule.

garlicnuts · 25/08/2012 17:09

Is that YOUR front door being blocked by the caravan? Surely that's some sort of offence. What a bunch of nutters Shock

Oh, yes, I would check every single bloody law, by-law and regulation they've broken and take all the relevant steps! I'm always in favour of rational negotiation but, flipping heck, they've made that impossible! Over-entitled bastards.

CaliforniaLeaving · 25/08/2012 20:04

They are mad if they think they'll get away with it, glad the landlord isn't happy about it and will do something.

thismumismad · 25/08/2012 21:12

Sallyingforth, the woman next door owns her home, I rent from my the council.

OP posts:
PurpleRayne · 25/08/2012 21:35

There may be byelaws, or covenants attached to the deeds.

QuintessentialShadows · 25/08/2012 21:40

Your children MUST go out and play football next to the caravan....

Sallyingforth · 25/08/2012 21:48

OP, but isn't that a former council house?
If so it's very likely that any such restrictions would be retained as covenants on the buyer, to protect neighbours such as yourself.

diaimchlo · 25/08/2012 22:02

I'd be putting all the debris that they had left on your property all over the bloody caravan!!!!!!!!!!!
