Hi,

Can I put dirty pram wheels (bugaboo chameleon) in the dishwasher?

Well I'm sure a lot of people will tell you all the reasons it's disgusting and unhygenic. But they come up a treat you can use dish washer cleaner and a hot wash afterwards.

JamNan · 23/08/2012 11:21

YANBU, as long as they haven't got dog poo on them! Wink

holler · 23/08/2012 11:22

What a great idea!

BornToShopForcedToWork · 23/08/2012 11:25

Nöo, they don't have dog poo on them and I cleaned them a bit already. It's just that there is always something I can't clean because I can't reach it and it's annoying me. Obs they will be no other things in the dish washer.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooo yabvvvvvvvvvvvvvvu

bragmatic · 23/08/2012 11:26

People clean pram wheels????

complexnumber · 23/08/2012 11:27

So who is lazier, somone who puts pram wheels in a dish washer, or someone who hasn't actually looked at their pram wheels in a while to check how sparkly they are/

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 23/08/2012 11:33

Football boots come up lovely too

whatsleep · 23/08/2012 11:39

Small children Come up quite clean too but make sure you tie their hair back so it doesn't get tangled in the rota Wink

MrsKeithRichards · 23/08/2012 11:39

Yanbu! I might be sticking to the.kitchen floor en route to the dishwasher but atleast I'll have clean wheels!

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 23/08/2012 12:51

Oh micro scooters fit too. That advert was wrong.

RichTeas · 23/08/2012 12:59

Why on earth bother? Take bebe out for a stroll when it's raining and that will clear the mud off.

Sassybeast · 23/08/2012 13:00

'Boak'

Do you put your mooncup in the dishwasher as well ? 'double boak'

marge2 · 23/08/2012 13:01

I never cleaned a pramwheel in my life. I would have done if there was lots of dog poo, luckily we never had that pleasure, as far as I know. But just mud? No. Why? Surely it will just get dirsy again the next time you go anywhere.

charlottehere · 23/08/2012 13:03

Just think what they could have been through and the crap will stay in DW pipes. Its a no from me.

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 23/08/2012 13:03

It's not advised to put mooncups in a dishwasher as you don't want chemicals up your fanjo. They say to boil them. I don;t have a special pan reserved for it though, so you might not want to come round for beans on toast Wink

openerofjars · 23/08/2012 13:04

I've just checked my pram wheels and, bugger oi down dead, the top layer of colour comes off !

Well I never.

blueglue · 23/08/2012 13:08

Omfg
Yuk!

Reason- dog poo/small smears of dog poo. Our streets are absolutely disgusting, even if people pick poo up, it can leave smears.

Lambzig · 23/08/2012 13:18

Very bemused by this. I take the fabric off and clean the chassis and wheels out in the garden, like you would clean a car? I just soap it down and the wheels then hose it off, leave it to dry.

sugarice · 23/08/2012 13:21

Sorry but why are you cleaning wheels in the dishwasher that are just going to get dirty again. YABU.

oldraver · 23/08/2012 13:22

Why did I never think of this when I was stood NEXT to the dishwasher.

I'm lucky never to have had visible dog poo on the wheels, but after coming back form the wildlife park they would be orange with the dust of the paths there

Orenishii · 23/08/2012 13:26

But what's worse - in the dishwasher or on your carpets?

I don't know what people do because we'll be slinging it, but do you bring the pram indoors? Presumably then at least the hallway carpet gets stuff tracked on it?

axure · 23/08/2012 13:27

Well if having shiny pram wheels is a higher priority than eating off plates that haven't been washed in the same machine as aforementioned dirty wheels then go ahead.I saw a lady on Embarrassing Bodies wash her home enema kit in hers!

pigletmania · 23/08/2012 13:37

Errrr I saw that azure Envy

lljkk · 23/08/2012 13:38

Minging & lazy.
