To think it is beyond rude & disgusting to leave shit stains in the toilet

I fear I am reacting particularly badly to this as am feverish & knackered, but...

My parents are visiting - my DC are 2 and 10 weeks.
All gone pretty smoothly until this morning, just before we went out. I went to the loo & discovered a delightful array of shit stains all over the pan.

I asked my dad - yes it was him, he tried to get them off... But what?! Couldn't be arsed so left them for me to deal with?! Wtf?!?!

I'm so pissed off its unreal. Before taking DD to bed for her nap just now I asked one of them to clean it. I seriously never thought I'd have to have that conversation with my dad. Angry Hmm

Waa why revive this? Who is it who went searching for threads about poo??

JeNeSuisPasVotreMiel · 06/05/2017 07:25

So Baco, what impelled you to search for a five year old thread and then post on it?

Could you not have started an original one of your own?

Yanbu. It’s not unreasonable for the poopetrator to clean up their own shit. It’s indescribably disgusting to leave it for someone else to deal with.

KT727 · 01/10/2021 10:06

I don't see a huge big deal if it's a family member's waste in the toilet bowl. To be honest fiddling around with a toilet brush is more potentially germy than leave it there and sticking some bleach/loo cleaner on it and cleaning it wearing gloves. Our loo gets cleaned once a week and we don't fuss too much about marks. I have germ-related OCD and would actually be more bothered about a dirty loo brush being handled regularly.

Big fat YABU for replying to a thread from 2012

Why would you mention it? He probably couldn’t find your loo brush and bleach, or didn’t notice.

How embarrassing to raise it with him!

Saoirse82 · 01/10/2021 13:55

@Sparklingbrook

I would have just gone in and cleaned it up. He is my Dad. After everything he's done for me in my life it's not that big a deal.

Plus if he gets unwell when he's elderly I will clear up whatever is necessary.

Absolutely this!!

@FateHasRedesignedMost

Not as embarrassing as not noticing the date of the original post (or reading the post immediately above yours)
