To think it is beyond rude & disgusting to leave shit stains in the toilet

I fear I am reacting particularly badly to this as am feverish & knackered, but...

My parents are visiting - my DC are 2 and 10 weeks.
All gone pretty smoothly until this morning, just before we went out. I went to the loo & discovered a delightful array of shit stains all over the pan.

I asked my dad - yes it was him, he tried to get them off... But what?! Couldn't be arsed so left them for me to deal with?! Wtf?!?!

I'm so pissed off its unreal. Before taking DD to bed for her nap just now I asked one of them to clean it. I seriously never thought I'd have to have that conversation with my dad. Angry Hmm

I once vistied my friend and used her wc after her young dd had been. She left shit stains in the pan. There was no toilet brush to clean it up and I really didn't know whether to say somethig to my friend after I'd been to the loo so she knew it wasn''t me. however I decided aginst it because I was embarrassed and still feel slightly mortified that she probably though it was me.

VisuallyChallengedFiend · 20/07/2012 19:55

I think it is rank but I would never say anything. Was it not most awkward for the rest of the afternoon? Not worth it imo.

CelticRepublican · 20/07/2012 22:51

I expect the poo troll has had a field day with this thread.

PatFenis · 20/07/2012 23:31

I have only one thing to add to this shitty thread - my dad lives abroad and came home to stay for a week, his diet when he is at home is very different from being abroad. Last time he was home he left a Bismarck in my toilet that no amount of flushing would move - after 2 days of flushing and dousing with bleach I had to do the unthinkable to the unsinkable and shove my hand in a binbag for scoopage purposes ...but I never mentioned it to him! I would never embarrass him like that and would hope if I left a shitey smear on his bog he would be gracious enough to clean it and say nowt.

DrCoconut · 21/07/2012 00:10

I make DH go and clean up if he leaves skid marks. I'm not doing it! I will clean up DS2's poo because he's a baby and still in nappies but other than that I draw the line.

PrincessOfSnails · 21/07/2012 07:23

In what way does the poo troll manifest?

LottoQueen · 21/07/2012 08:18

This has made me laugh so much - tears streaming down my face Grin

perceptionreality · 21/07/2012 08:23

If it was a one off I wouldn't be too bothered but if it happened a lot it would annoy me.

EmptyCrispPackets · 21/07/2012 08:27

I have a serious phobia of loo brushes. I think I read somewhere about the handles containing so much more shit than the actual brush

Plus I hate seeing poo remnants sat casually on them.

I have bleach by the side of my loo, and if someone leaves skidders, a whirl of bleach after flushing seems to do the trick.

financialwizard · 21/07/2012 08:31

YANBU. He is family, and I would have no qualms doing the same as you. FWIW my DC11 does the same thing regularly and I make them clean it up with the toilet brush.

diddl · 21/07/2012 08:54

I agree.

I find it odd that people can´t/won´t say to parents that someone has left a mess in the toilet-can they clean it, please?

Disrespectful to ask this, but OK for a parent to leave their shit to be cleaned up??!!

Why comment on a thread nearly 3 years old ? Confused

Dawndonnaagain · 20/07/2015 09:21

3 years late! Why?

GoodbyeToAllOfThat · 20/07/2015 09:23

Did you search the archive for poo stains? Smile

FarFromAnyRoad · 20/07/2015 09:25

Always the same. Someone with zero posting history bumping a zombie thread and who will never post again. It's done purely to irritate - nothing more, nothing less.
Another thread to hide

LizzyUseless · 20/07/2015 09:33

Farfrom It could be a bit more innocent. Someone riles person by not removing shit stains from toilet; person thinks it digusting and does Google search for 'shit stains' to prove to perpetrator that it's out of order; MN thread comes up and person RTFT and is so riled that they join MN solely to post opinion; finds MN is not for them and fucks off, never to post again.
Could be.

Or, you may be right and they're just being annoying. Grin

FarFromAnyRoad · 20/07/2015 09:35

I can't answer you Lizzy. I've hidden the thread Grin Grin

LizzyUseless · 20/07/2015 09:37

Best thing to do in the circs. Wink

Janette123 · 20/07/2015 09:42

BBOW,
Next time your dad visits feed him plenty of stodgy food so he gets constipated and won't go at all. problem solved. Grin

lilacblossomtime · 20/07/2015 09:42

A weird thread to resuscitate.

To think it is beyond rude & disgusting to leave shit stains in the toilet
Passmethecrisps · 20/07/2015 09:50

I read the op thinking "I am sure I have read this exact thread before "

I have - exactly 3 years ago

paulapompom · 20/07/2015 12:22

I do love those flushable loo brushes, you re-use the handle but flush away the brushy bit, expensive though, I keep them for special occasions, I have heard bleach dosent remove poo stains, just makes them invisible!

I don't usually make a point of cleaning other people's loos, but then I don't expect anyone but me to clean mine - poo karma

Straycatblue · 20/07/2015 13:44

From poop sauna to poo pearls to poos that become long term house guests to gift wrapped dead cats and vomiting aliens, this thread albeit a zombie one has had in hysterics.

Also, I never knew there was so much toilet brush hatred out there.

diddl · 20/07/2015 13:54

"I realise that I'm a bit late in joining this conversation however"

No shit Sherlock!!
