Where has it gone? Just as I was about to start sprucing it up for the jubilee and start tatting the bunting?

Of course Mimi dear. . The Bergamot is fresh this morning.

ah, how kind! and how marvellous to be nestling once more in the bosom of the eternal maidens....

Alas Hully my summer has been a catalogue of hysteria. The highlight you may remember < for I have gone on and on about it> being my carriage succumbing to the deluge that was July. Its replacement has been a 'bad thing' and the saga continues. I hope for respite from the woes next week when we shall be braced by sea air, if we get there. Pass the maiden juice there's a dear.

WHERE'S HULLY

Hullygully · 28/08/2012 17:16

Hello dear Absy, whither the waddling? Is thou upduffed?

Maiden juice is NOT for the fair and faint. It is strong stuff and to be treated with circumspection. You will all be better with a light lemon posset.

Mini, it sorrows me greatly to hear of your undercarriage, they can be most most troublesome.

AbsofAwesomeness · 28/08/2012 17:52

Nah, I ate a burger the size of my head yesterday, and am still trying to digest it. Totally worth it though, TOTALLY WORTH IT

I'm so glad you're back!

Hullygully · 28/08/2012 17:57

my knees or yours?

AbsofAwesomeness · 28/08/2012 18:02

mine. Yours smell odd

Hullygully · 28/08/2012 18:05

Mine smell of attar of roses applied with the silken delicate fingers of modest young maidens clothed in nought but pomegranates ACTUALLY

Clawdy · 28/08/2012 20:22

Hully do you only ever post on the IPOAT threads now? I never seem to see your name on other threads...Sad

Hully posts everywhere, constantly, even when she is supposed to be herding goats across the Alps. Why, frequently I look at a thread title, think 'bet Hully's in there' and Lo! There she is, inserting her baton of love.

MIMI! Ma chère! ¿Qué pasa?

Pore ol' Didier has been pining for you something dreadful.

Dear Miss Raspberry! Pray, sit beside me on the settle and observe proceedings awhile. All will soon become clear.

Pomegranate dear? You may borrow my best pin.

Umami · 28/08/2012 21:36

Am now trying to FaceStalk you all, without actually joining the meet-up group. I propose to determine your identities via a game of Facebook Guess Who.

Right.

Put your hands up if you've got a beard.

Minimammoth · 29/08/2012 08:13

I'm the one who isn't on Facebook, so you'll easily recognise me.< Strokes beard>

Oh I was rude yesterday and forgot to answer the queries.

Clawdy - I have been travelling on the continent dispensing wisdom and pith this past while.

Miss raspberry - complexity is a condition we must all learn to embrace and moisturise regularly.

Umami · 29/08/2012 10:00

Tut. 18 weeks on The Continent and all you manners gone.

Away to the attic with you. Your punishment for rudeness is that you get an extra turn at applying Bertha's leg ointment this week.

Hullygully · 29/08/2012 11:16

I'm afraid it is all used up on dear Rochester's leg. I shall have to push Bertha out of the window or start a fire I fear.

Umami · 29/08/2012 11:28

Well, all her old paraffin-soaked bandages will start a fine old blaze. The Hall is looking a touch dated. Perhaps a insurance job touch of redecorating is in order anyway?

Perhaps do throw Bertha out of the window before you get your tinder box working, though. She'll be useful for standing on to hang the new drapes.

good day dear gals. I am still exhausted from my midnight escape from paris in amidst a tumbril of cabbages. i shall arrange myself upon this handy chaise longue and wrap myself in this fine cashmere shawl i discovered abandoned upon the grand dtaircase. my eyes may be closed but i shall be all attention.
