Where has it gone? Just as I was about to start sprucing it up for the jubilee and start tatting the bunting?

No. 3 is lovely, but makes me feel motherly rather than phwoar, if you see what I mean? And no. 4 just leaves me cold, I'm afraid.

On the other hand, I think no. 1 is strangely interesting ...

Is it too early for a tisane?

PS I LOVE beetroot.

Jins · 22/06/2012 11:32

I'm not keen on 1 at all.

It's never too early for a tisane

Minimammoth · 22/06/2012 11:56

That particular tisane looks a little chilly for today's clime. I am more for a hot chocolate with a little medicinal brandy.

Fiderer · 22/06/2012 13:48

I'm the beetroot camp, or kitchen. Love it in soup. Roasted. Pickles well.
The Hall can withstand many many-flavoured Gels.

Anyway, we have Menfolk to attend to. I see vapours emanating and hear wailing from the bathrooms. Much healing is being administered.

Minimammoth · 22/06/2012 15:43

Miss Fiderer we have neglected the herb gathering of late and i fear our stocks are becoming deplete. Now the poor orphans are all scrubbed and smelling nice we could take them foraging, although they might get a little dirty.
I do hope some one has been attending to Mr Rochester, for tis the season when wood beetles fly, he may succumb. we can't have him all wormy, Hully would be cross.

OP posts:
Fiderer · 22/06/2012 16:04

You are right, Mistress Mini, we have been lax and must make amends. Plus the Gals being back at the Hall swigging and guzzling has severely depleted our stock. The wind fair whistles through the distillery herb-drying shed.

Gathering and dirty foraging sounds like just the thing to invigorate us.

Minimammoth · 25/06/2012 12:38

Oh the delights of an English country garden, digitalis, aconite, wormwood, arum, lungwort. But I do draw the line at creeping parson. Sometimes the tisane needs a little kick, don't you think.

OP posts:
Fiderer · 26/06/2012 07:07

Indeed. We must not forget to re-label some of the ingredients in the distillery herb-drying shed.

Last week one of the maids nearly put some Creeping Parson in the Rev Tiddler's tisane. She was muttering something which sounded like 'cassock' under her breath. Perhaps his sermon was duller than usual.

What if similar had happened when our recent dinner (no1) guests (no10) were at the Hall?

Jins · 26/06/2012 09:17

I must have been out when they were there. Was Mr Rochester not insanely jealous of you ministering to another old man?

Minimammoth · 26/06/2012 22:37

Ooo dear I need a nightcap. Some of the other threads are a bit spikey tonight.
Pull up the drawbridge and toast some muffins.

I'm feeling patronised so I'm back here for comfort. Good job you can hide topics isn't it?

Minimammoth · 27/06/2012 21:31

< passes toasting fork to Jins> it could have other uses.
Yep push em into room 101
Am feeling jittery about my thyroid, it's on the blink apparently.

But birthday tomorrow, we shall have cake.

OP posts:
Fiderer · 28/06/2012 07:09

Happy Birthday Mini!

What's up with your thyroid? Doesn't sound good. Here, I bought you a special present to dispel glumness. It will remind you of our trip to revolutionary France where we ate a good deal of cake with Marie

Jins · 28/06/2012 08:53

Happy birthday Mini!!!!

I shan't be frolicking much today. I had an injection into the shoulder yesterday and I'm feeling a bit bruised.

Jins · 28/06/2012 09:35

I've hidden so many topics today that there's not an awful lot of MN left :)

Minimammoth · 28/06/2012 18:09

Rant warning.....
I got stuck in the buggering flash flood and my car had to be towed away, and it may be a bloody write off, and I have no bloody transport and I am not seeing the silver lining to my birthday at all.
< but people have been kind, especially mysterious motorcyclist who stopped waded through flood and pushed my car out>
rant over...all clear...
I need a G G G &T

Minimammoth · 28/06/2012 18:11

Sorry. Jins have a nice poultice for that shoulder, dear. I had a look at your menopause thread, will come back to you on that one as have tried the progesterone cream. Will PM maybe.

OP posts:
Jins · 28/06/2012 23:05

Cheers mini. I felt a bit harangued on the two menopause threads so I decided to hide the topic. The internet is a big place I've discovered and more than one forum has advice. Grin.

Jins · 28/06/2012 23:07

Angry at the flash flood btw.

Does it count as an act of god in insurance terms?

Minimammoth · 29/06/2012 07:53

Yes i think so,good old god and his acts. Got the feeling it will be thumbs down, the front was completely bent. I shall need a new carriage I fear, more bloody expense. Power of water is awesome.

OP posts:
Minimammoth · 01/07/2012 16:04

I nearly lost the dear old thread so am bumping until we gather for tea.

OP posts:
Hullygully · 01/07/2012 17:01

I keep losing it. And the plot.

Must stay in here must stay in here

Hullygully · 01/07/2012 17:03

Oh MissMini I missed your birthday!

I am so sorry, belated felicitations and warm kisses. What is it this year? My, you approach 70 at a fair old lick! Such a great age, darling, you are quite the dowager.

Jins · 01/07/2012 17:03

Bloody hell. The whole of MN is full of feminist frothing.

Hullygully · 01/07/2012 17:04

why why why don't I stay out of it...? when will i ever learn?

Don't answer that.
