The day today

Stratters · 03/04/2012 21:40

I will put my hand up and say that I read the Daily Mail. Every. Single. Day.

Sometimes twice a day. And I bloody love it, it's the best craic by far.

ike1 · 03/04/2012 21:40

Bobbly gizza look

BobblyGussets · 03/04/2012 21:44

I would love to parade him in front of you ike, but he is very shy and says I must not treat him as some sort of sex object Grin

BoffinMum · 03/04/2012 21:46

I think she is so gorgeous that I feel the need to shag her immediately, and then buy her a case of champagne. And I am not even a lesbian! Such is her apparent hold on me.

Not.

WibblyBibble · 03/04/2012 21:49

She's better looking than me. But I've got a prettier boyfriend, so that makes up for it, right?

TerrierMalpropre · 03/04/2012 21:52

Thank you for that very honest admission, Stratters.

I check the DM 2X/day also. They add fresh content in the afternoon! If you wait until morning you could miss something vital. Was anyone else swooning at the juicy "Prince Harry Rescues Fellow Equestrian" story? Yes, PLEASE!

moanymandy · 03/04/2012 21:53

ahahaha! Grin Is this for real??!! This woman is crazy!

Hownoobrooncoo · 03/04/2012 22:24

I'm not so hot but have a very attractive husband who doesn't criticise my appearance or expect me to turn up in the morning all made up and in heels etc. You'd think she could bag someone better tsk, tsk - if she really thinks she's all that.

Stratters · 03/04/2012 22:25

Yes Terrier Blush

GinIsTheAnswer · 03/04/2012 22:29

Is she related to Gillian McKeith? Grin

Don't fancy hers much, he must be rich.

She looks good for her age, nowt special though.

I recently met the DH of a very atttractive new friend... I knew he was a high earner and anticipated he'd be as attractive as she is but nooooo, old, grey hair and something creepy looking about him.

Maybe I had my priorities mixed up at the age of 22 when I met my DP, I wanted someone fit as fuck, the sensibility of finding someone who was rich to boot eluded me somehow.

KitCat26 · 03/04/2012 23:06

Just read the article, well the first paragraph and skipped down to the pictures (not heard of her before). First thought was late april fool? Second, well, she looks pleasant enough but I'm just a bit Confused why you'd write an article about your own beauty. Perhaps there's more to it her than meets the eye.

sue52 · 03/04/2012 23:31

I'd love to borrow her mirror. It would do my ego a power of good or turn me into a self absorbed delusional bore, one or the other.

iceandsliceplease · 04/04/2012 00:03

newsthump.com/2012/04/03/samantha-brick-urged-to-buy-at-least-one-mirror/

mwa ha ha ha....

Seriously though, this whole brouhaha has made me ponder the differences between 'pretty', 'stunning' and 'beautiful'. Ms Brick would be averagely attractive, for example. My sister is very, very pretty. DD is beautiful (no, she is, I know we all say it about our own, but she is objectively so, very Pears Soap child, slightly ethereal). I'm odd looking, can look great, but mostly look rough. Sophie Ellis Bextor is stunning/beautiful, perhaps both, depending on your viewpoint. What makes us decide that someone is beautiful? Or pretty? It's a really personal thing.

But in Ms Brick's case, it seems to be fairly unanimous. You're not that pretty, your husband is a control freak, and you need to buy many, many mirrors Grin

ike1 · 04/04/2012 00:09

Really????Sophie Ellis Bexter???

ike1 · 04/04/2012 00:09

2 words Jut Jaw

iceandsliceplease · 04/04/2012 00:14

Sophie Ellis Bextor is stunning, IMO. Maybe not beautiful in everyone's eyes, but she is stunning.

ike1 · 04/04/2012 00:21

Now Cherry Menlove she is...

Rustygussets · 04/04/2012 01:21

I think she needs to throw away all her mirrors and concentrate on nurturing her inner self.

The next time her partner objectifies her -she may have some self respect not to tolerate it.

Now wouldn't THAT be beautiful.

VivaLeBeaver · 04/04/2012 07:31

She's like a much older, blonde version of Tara Palmer Tomkinson with a really wonky mouth.

I wouldn't give her a second look. Maybe 20 years ago she was a stunner but I'm sorry she certainly isn't now.

I don't think thats me being jealous, I'm quite happy to admire truely beautiful women. There is no way she is in the same league as someone like say Heidi Klum, etc.

I can not believe that when she went to the supermarket yesterday a man ran over and offered to park her car and buy her a coffee. Does she really expect people to believe that on driving into a car park someone noticed her and chased her down the car park banging on the window begging to park the car? Hmm Possibly she can't park to save her life and was struggling and someone was concerned she was about to hit hteir car and offered to park it for her.......but poor driving is nothing to be proud of.

And I say this as someone pretty enough to be chased down the street 20 years ago by a good looking stranger who begged me to go out on a date with him.

EmmaCate · 04/04/2012 07:54

Weird! She's just, sort of, normal in the looks department. Elle MacPherson, Kate Windsor, Natalie Portman, Kate Winslet, Emma from HP - these are women I think are jaw droppingly beautiful. They have brains though as far as I know and would be people other women would want to be around.

I agree that she must give off an aura of being an easy lay or something, if all these bottles of champagne have been sent her way.

catsareevil · 04/04/2012 08:02

I dont think that she would actually believe all the rubbish in that article, its cheap publicity though isnt it.
