In disliking Carol Vorderman so very, very, much

Had the misfortune of seeing some of Loose Women yesterday. She refused to believe that making drugs illegal did little to prevent people from taking said drugs. She's entitled to her opinion but was just so inarticulate and was unable to develop the conversation further than 'ummmm, no'.Also, memories of her shrieky meltdown on Question Time, her advertising of debt consolidation loans, promotion of her detox rubbish, her chipmunk cheeks . . . . . . .

Quite good at sums does not seem to equate with any other discernible talent or intelligence.

I find her so very loathsome. Richard Whitely even faked his own death just to get away from her.

Surely the evidence agrees with her on the drugs issue. People seem to be able to indulge pretty freely... Is this a personality clash?

TheCraicDealer · 30/03/2012 13:35

She gets on my wick somethin' shockin', but she does have a nice collection of Roland Mouret dresses Envy

Happyasapiginshite · 30/03/2012 14:28

I don't like her on Loose Women at all. She's not comfortable to watch, not natural in her conversations.

And agree about the debt consolidation ads, I don't know how she could have done them. Would have thought she'd have more integrity.

CoffeeMum · 30/03/2012 14:30

'Richard Whiteley even faked his own death to get away from her'

Grin loving your work here Grin

WorraLiberty · 30/03/2012 14:31

I don't hate her

However I do despise her for the fact she used her thumb and forefinger to demonstrate what the word 'reduce' means when advertising Benecol spread.

The patronising bitch Hmm

Grin
Flightty · 30/03/2012 14:38

I always felt rather sorry for her. I don't know why.

Do people actually watch loose women then? It's shite isn't it, I think I last saw it about 15 years ago and couldn't bear more than about 3 minutes before I had to turn over and watch some dire Western instead

Katienana · 30/03/2012 14:42

YANBU, she is awful. I thought she would dissappear for good after the disastrous appearance on Question Time but it seems to have been swept under the carpet.

SebastionTheCrab · 30/03/2012 14:43

I caught a bit of Loose Women yesterday (I think it was yesterday) I don't actually watch it, I promise Grin and she started foghorning the Dallas theme tune. It was hideous. I know she can't help it but her voice is grating.

mayorquimby · 30/03/2012 14:44

When she appeared on QT over the issue with Jamie Bulger and confirmed herself to be a moronic reactionary twat, I gave up on her.

cybbo · 30/03/2012 14:55

The way she says her s's winds me up

And her insistance on being a 'sexpot'

lolaflores · 30/03/2012 15:02

Her detox diet thing. downgrading her very fine mind indeed in favour of a pouting and a posing on the red carpet for the opening of an envelope. those ads for the debt things. patronising condescending tosser but would love to know what makes her an expert on drugs legislation?

Clawdy · 30/03/2012 15:15

Can't bear her,she is sanctimonious and very right-wing...

Sillyshell · 30/03/2012 17:06

My MIL is convinced Carole Vorderman killed Sue Dando! She thinks it's because Sue Dando was getting better tv work so she had her bumped off.

Flightty · 30/03/2012 17:08

Tell her it's Jill

Sillyshell · 30/03/2012 17:13

Oops, I meant Jill Dando. Sorry!

It's been a long day.

LineRunner · 30/03/2012 17:17

Participation on Questiontime and Loose Women does not make for a good crossover.

Last time Janet Street-Porter was on Questiontime she started moaning on about windfarms in a surprising inarticulate way (for her). She must have spent too much time addressing the massed intellect of Jane McDonald and Sherrie Hewson.

NettoSuperstar · 30/03/2012 17:18

I realised a few months ago that if I watched one more episode of Loose Women I'd have to kill myself, so I stopped.
Just working on my Daybreak habit now, though that might be cured after the horror that was Fiona Philips this week.
What is that woman for?Confused

Itsjustafleshwound · 30/03/2012 17:21

Did anyone see the photo of her in yesterday's Times with the ex-servicemen doing one helluva fake, belly laugh .... Cringe-worthy

valiumredhead · 30/03/2012 17:25

I was thinking about Jill Dando the other day - that was truly shocking, wasn't it?

MNHelenisPansfavourite · 30/03/2012 17:31

Right-wing. Fake laughs. Pronunciation problems. Sanctimonious.

Still would though.

TheCrackFox · 30/03/2012 17:34

I always think she needs to go up a dress size.

2shoes · 30/03/2012 17:35

oh she is awful her and Davina should go in room 101

SauvignonBlanche · 30/03/2012 17:36

YANBU, I can't stand her either.

valiumredhead · 30/03/2012 17:36

Davina is even worse.

SwedishEdith · 30/03/2012 17:38

No, she's hideous. And never strikes me as particularly intelligent either. Hence, her right-wring views.
