Martin Brundle is on Sky, no David Coulthard. Then Damon Hill sometimes appears.

It's just not the same is it? Highlights on BBC1 this afternoon when you know the result anyway. Sad

Seems exactly the same to me.

PenguinFeet1 · 25/03/2012 10:42

I miss Jake!!

cocolepew · 25/03/2012 10:43

I'm delighted I don't have to listen to Brundle any more Grin

NettoSuperstar · 25/03/2012 10:43

I miss DC Sad

Sparklingbrook · 25/03/2012 10:44

You can see Jake on BBC1 later Penguin. (I think) and DC but no Eddie Jordan this week.

I heart Martin Brundle. Grin

No point in watching DC once the race has been won though.

I'm just happy to have Kimi back, I love Kimi.

CrystalQueen · 25/03/2012 10:47

I miss Martin Brundle, but not enough to get Sky. I did hate the gridwalk he did before the race, so don't miss that.
I wish the BBC would put subtitles on the radio transmissions for the highlight show, presumably they know what was said by then.

Anniegetyourgun · 25/03/2012 10:48

There's only one way to watch F1, and that's WITHOUT ADVERTS. I'm going back quite a few years here, of course.

Somebody once said imagine if they introduced adverts during play in football matches. "So-and-so places the ball on the spot... begins his run up... don't worry, you won't miss anything, we'll show you what happened right after this advert." There'd be rioting in the streets.

Not, mind you, that I watch sport these days. Too lazy to get the aerial fixed.

Sparklingbrook · 25/03/2012 10:48

No adverts on the F1 on Sky weirdly. Confused

YANBU at all...have actually reluctantly signed up for Sky as miss watching the live races...not being installed til Friday though so am missing today and from the text commentary on BBC website, I am missing alot!

Sparklingbrook · 25/03/2012 10:54

Well it's on here, but won't discuss it in case it spoils it for anyone. Wink

I love F1. Grin

What else are you going to be watching on your new Sky Dizzy?

OP posts:
NettoSuperstar · 25/03/2012 10:56

I had Sky put in a few weeks ago just because of the F1, I'd never wanted it before, but now I'm addicted to Teen Mom, all the cooking shows and the real life movie channel!

Sparklingbrook · 25/03/2012 10:58

It's a slippery slope Netto. Grin

You know it's bad when you have all the Danielle Steele films for the week on the planner Blush

I've met DC. He's a bit dull.

NettoSuperstar · 25/03/2012 11:09

I once washed Martin Brundle's Mum's hair. She was really nice.
It's not quite the same as meeting DC though.

Anniegetyourgun · 25/03/2012 11:12

Oh, I'm out of date then. When I used to watch it it was on C4. I don't do Sky, it's against my religion.

remote · 25/03/2012 11:12

I bet she was more interesting!

usualsuspect · 25/03/2012 11:12

I wish it would hurry up and finish , I'm waiting for dp to stop watching it so we can go out.

Kayzr · 25/03/2012 11:14

I miss DC and Eddie but I am so glad I no longer have to watch that idiot Jake. It's lovely Smile

remote · 25/03/2012 11:16

And I really don't like Georgie Thompson.

DizzyCow63 · 25/03/2012 11:53

sparklingbrook I doubt I'll get a look in, DH is ridiculously excited about the Discovery Channel and National Geographic, DSD is waffling on about Jersey Shore on MTV so I'll be in the corner with my kindle, as usual!

Pendeen · 25/03/2012 12:39

Although Brundle is very fond of himself (a charge you could level at many F1 drivers) he is very knowlegeable and good at explaining.

Damon is quite good but the rest of the Sky team are nonentities as far as I am concerned.

So glad Kimi is back!

Sparklingbrook · 25/03/2012 13:05

Sweet Sixteen on MTV is a bit of an eye opener Dizzy. Grin

I agree about Martin Brundle Pendeen, He would make a good science teacher.
