To think that humans who shit in the woods should clean up after themselves?

It's pretty revolting when your dog dives into the trees and starts eating human shit. People usually leave something behind which they've been wiping their bum with. People are always moaning about leaving dog poo behind, but little is said about human excrement.

I have no idea why I clicked on this thread, it's not as if the clue wasn't in the title.

Anyway, Nobodyspecial and musicmadness, you'll be pleased to hear that secondary school pooing etiquette has not improved since you left. DD cleans at her school, including the loos when she has to, and the stories she comes home with are truly revolting. I've banned her from telling me any more, I seriously can't believe what goes on.

A few years ago I was with a friend, her baby dd, and their dog in their garden. The dd was nappy less (but not potty trained), did a massive poo and - the dog ate it Shock. Until then, I had never realised such things went on (and me a dog owner too).

mackerel prefer to feed around sewage outlets in the sea. They do eat human excrement and, because you cant guarantee that they havent eaten shit then I wouldn't eat mackerel if I could possibly avoid it.

poinsetta · 11/03/2012 21:35

only just discovered mackerel as something quite healthy I quite like. Oh no longer.

eatyouwithaspoon · 12/03/2012 07:25

my dog sneaked in the toilet and scoffed a half a massive log off the side of the bowl while I was wiping her bum, I stopped him before he got to the rest.

I have a bit of sick in my mouth just remembering it.

We had a phantom crapper at our gym a few years ago. Staff would arrive to find shit floating in the swimming pool. It happened a few times and each time the pool had to be closed and cleaned. Don't know if they ever found the culprit.

Shutupanddrive · 12/03/2012 07:46

This thread is making me feel sick Sad

eatyouwithaspoon · 12/03/2012 07:46

I was wiping my dd bum not the dog Blush Grin

EasyToEatTiger · 12/03/2012 08:45

Could have been either! So.... Is there any correlation between people who poo in public places and people who don't clean up after their dogs? Would anyone here ask someone who'd left dog poo lying around if they would leave their own shit lying around? I'd be too scared.

The poo troll must love this thread!

blighter · 12/03/2012 09:11

i think that in general if a human had a thomas it was an emergency and they had no means of clearing it up where as if you take your dog for an early morning walk it is with the view they are going to need to go and thus you are equiped with a bag. i didn't know dogs ate shit, i never liked dogs, this is the icing on the cake for me

lesley33 · 12/03/2012 09:14

Yes dogs do eat shit. I walk an elderly ladies dog and spend lots of time stopping the dog eating shit. Always makes me grimace when its owner later "kisses" her dog.

blighter · 12/03/2012 09:16

lesley - ffs. something about dogs, they way they sniff each others arses. and those dogs whose tails stick up exposing their butts. i imagine them having a poo and then sitting on their owners sofa/carpet thus leaving tiny deposits of bum juice on the fabric. SO don't like dogs, smelly things. my sister has three large ones and as clean as her house is, very clean, it still STINKS :)

lesley33 · 12/03/2012 09:32

I actually love dogs. But they do have lots of unsavoury habits. Along with the ones you mention, dogs also have form for sex in the most inappropriate places and times, including female dogs masturbating against a range of household objects. There was a whole thread about this with posters posting details of their dogs public behaviour including gay sex, masturbation, etc. Its not all Andrex adverts being a dog owner Grin

One of my finest memories of international travel was approaching the collessium in Rome for the first time in my life. A genuinely awe inspiring moment. Me and DH stood side by side in silence at this monument to human acheivement. Then we noticed 2 tramps having a shitting competition against the ancient stone walls. Epic human stuff.

I have never seen so much human excrement in public places as Rome. Bizarre.

ItsOkItsJustMyBreath · 12/03/2012 10:04

Surely it's good for the roses? Wink

ArielNonBio · 12/03/2012 10:16

There was a thread yesterday from a poster who couldn't answer the phone because she had her hand up the dog's arse.

Any pet which needs that doing is a no-no for me Grin

ObviouslyOblivious · 12/03/2012 10:20

Hang on minute! How did a thread about the disgusting habits of a few humans turn into an anti dog rant??

impossiblesitu · 12/03/2012 10:21

who shits in the woods!?!

EasyToEatTiger · 12/03/2012 10:37

There seem to be more people who shit in an urban environment than shit in the woodsHmm. Would it be fair to suggest that people who don't clean up after their dogs also poo in public places? So it would be acceptable to leave your dog's poo where you would leave your own?

The parks in East London are heaving with human shit." Tell me that's not true . Does Boris know?

Boris Johnson is a heaving human shit 'hassled*

OrmIrian · 12/03/2012 14:23

HUman shit is the most disgusting of shits. And yes it should be cleared up. However leaving it 'woods' which I take to mean the middle of the countryside is less unpleasant than leaving it in an urban environment.

limitedperiodonly · 12/03/2012 14:26

I loved Julian Cope from The Teardrop Explodes until I read a gossip piece about him shitting in a hotel shower and trying to poke it down the drain with a toothbrush.

I don't know whether it was true but I went right off him after that.

Someone once dropped trou and shat in the sweet aisle when I worked at Woolies and then walked out.

I worked for woolies too and someone pooed in the one of the aisles in our shop as well! Infact the bin got emptied regular on the backyard too and whoever was doing it used to have a good old crap at the same time also....

TapirBackRider · 12/03/2012 14:33

I've had people crapping in random places at my work.

I know that it's people doing it, because I work on public transport, and they have a disgusting habit of rubbing it over every surface they can touch.
