to think the worst?

Had op lump removed ten days ago. Called today to go to hosp next week. Wouldn't tell me why. It can only be one thing right?

Please dont think the worst. I am sure they have to tell you in person whatever the outcome of the tests are.

Maybe the person calling you had no idea, was just doing their job when told to call you in

No not at all, hospitals never tell you anything over the phone, good or bad. What sort of op was it?

It threw me because although I know I have precancer already, they normally call me 6 monthly. Yikes.

Yes it could be the worst so start reading up on what it could be and what you can do about it so that forearmed is forewarned. alternatively they might need to do more tests. of course it will be a long week either way so surround yourself with love and support. the waiting is the worse so just hang on in there - big hug of support. get your friends and family to do likewise you will get through it.

After my op they said see u in 6 months. I'm just trying to be realistic. Can't think what else it could be?

Tell yourself that no matter which way it goes, there is absolutely nothing that will change between now and your appointment, and you are going to do your best to put it at the back of your mind, and deal with it next week.

I know that sounds so easy for me to say, but if you can tell it to yourself, it will get you through the next few days.

Your GP probably hasn't heard the results yet either. Hipitals are really slow at sending on information.
I hope it all goes well for you. There's really no way of knowing what the results are until they tell you. Try not to read too much into the timing of the appointment.

Cheers bagel, my gp was very blase as if he hadn't the foggiest. My DS has chickenpox and I'm moving next week. Think my brain is too full!

I would love a karaoke machine...but I cant sing at all.. and could do a great duet with Frankie Cocozza Grin

Doesnt stop me getting up and belting out Fairytale of New York after a few drinks though.. Blush
