He's blaming my house-keeping but I'm working full time just as he is and personally think housework should be a joint responsibility! Not just mine! I said he should help me with the housework and put his stuff where he can find it again and not rely on me as if I'm his mother. AIBU?

I'm intrigued now, I really want to know why anyone would want or need a specific wig for piano playing.

Does he have cooking wigs, or sex wigs?

NorfolkNChance · 07/10/2011 16:39

BWAH HA HA @ sex wig

HullEnzia · 07/10/2011 16:42

No matter how crap you're feeling, mumsnet can always cheer you up Grin

Hardgoing · 07/10/2011 16:47

I have laughed so much at this thread. I'm pretty sure none of the four generations of piano-players in my family have worn wigs, but I really want to start, OP, where can I get one?

NorfolkBroad · 07/10/2011 16:50

WHAT? What kind of wig?

Bellavita · 07/10/2011 16:50

Are there seagulls involved?

Bellavita · 07/10/2011 16:51

Has he thrown his wine at the wall yet over you misplacing his wig? Grin

limitedperiodonly · 07/10/2011 16:54

onceagain I'm not going to answer that in case we are sisters and you bring up that time I cut the hair off all your dolls yet again.

limitedperiodonly · 07/10/2011 16:56

A friend had a woolly hat with nylon hair poking out of it. She used to wear it for impressions of Benny from Crossroads.

FunnysInTheGarden · 07/10/2011 16:56

what a hoot, am loving the mental image of all the family in their piano wigs.

Personally I never play my bassoon without my horn section gloves

Panic over, turns out DS had taken it to school for show and tell.

Can you believe the teacher didn't know what a piano wig is either? Confused Shock I'm starting to think we're the only family that use them!

DH is happy now that he can practice again anyway.

Has your DS taken any other amusing items into show and tell?

Like your cleaning umbrella, or DH's gardening necklace.

What happens to your DH if he tries to play piano without his wig?

Does he turn into the Phantom of the Opera?

ScarahStratton · 07/10/2011 19:03

Ok what the actual fuck is a piano wig? Can we have photos please OP.

SpookhettiTwirlerAndProud · 07/10/2011 19:22

Ok how about this. . . . It's an actual piano wig! As in, the piano wears the wig whilst being played!

BibiBatsberg · 07/10/2011 19:24

Oh, stop, I can't breathe - show and tell? Really? That class must have been as baffled as we are here, surely.

I was going to say are you a comedian OP trying out a new off the wall routine but think Salmotrutta is filling the comedian role vair nicely :)

Cleaning Umbrella ba ha ha - gardening necklace - snort!

rockinastocking · 07/10/2011 19:29

Weird.

We have a wiano pig.

DorothyGherkins · 07/10/2011 19:35

I think the same person is responsible for the disappearance of Cauldrons toaster. There are evil spiritis at work here. Do you think we have upset them? I fear it is payback time. Dont take your eyes off your children.

Salmotrutta · 07/10/2011 19:39

I wanna Wiano Pig!!

rockinastocking · 07/10/2011 19:50

Well, you're not having mine!

Salmotrutta · 07/10/2011 19:57

Give it here!

rockinastocking · 07/10/2011 20:00

Ow!

You meanie!

RedRubyBlue · 07/10/2011 20:30

My piano wig has dandruff.

There is sometimes not enough Head and Shoulders in the world.

Sad

It is a very big wig.

DMCWelshCakes · 07/10/2011 21:00

Praise be that my pelvic floor remains unscathed despite 2 DC.

Am genuinely crying with laughter here.
