I'm running over here after a great many disappointing years on Netmums.

It's an over-moderated, under-imaginative and purile site where threads are deleted left right and centre because the OP (Or some other busybody) goes crying to the mods to have it removed.

Debate is definately NOT encouraged.

You must tow the line and accept a very rigid general view of parenting to be a Netmum. If I felt any more restricted I'd be in a straight jacket!

And excuse the FUCK out of me for needing to swear every now and then.

Howdy another newbie, but not from NETHUNS . Cant stand the bigot over there!

Now that the formalities have been completed, have a , take a look around, help yourself to the popcorn and krispy kremes, and make a note that bumsex is de rigeur on Fridays but does not have to be confined to that particular day of the week.

Youarekidding it used to be a laugh but it seems like the site very definately wants only a certain conservative tpye of Mum.

From what I can tell it seems that there's a far wittier group of folks here who actually don't mind being challenged.

I've never bothered with the NM forums but their local info is so much better than MN. I like the fact that they send out weekly emails of what is on in my local area. My MN local isn't particularly local and has no content and hasn't in the 7 years I've been a MNetter.

That particular post highlighted the unreliability of bumsex as a contraceptive, but I can't help thinking that the error may not have occurred had the OP not got pissed given way to impulse midweek.

Oh - and I am from just outside Glasgow too - and we sometimes have meet-ups in the city. I believe that there was a suggestion that the next one should involve leaving the children at home in the care of any handy MIL/Old English Sheepdog (if they are allowed across the border)/feckless dh, to allow for the consumption of alchoholic beverages. Basically a piss-up! You could honour us with your company, if you felt so inclined....
