I have just served bannanas and hot custard to the family as pudding. DH says I am weird and it should be served cold.

Members of the jury, am I being unreasonable?

Either is fine.

Bananas and custard is yummy.

NigeltheFuckwit · 08/07/2011 18:19

I give the DC bananas and hot custard. Makes me feel like I've made an effort [hwink]

ShatnersBassoon · 08/07/2011 18:19

The beauty of it is that you can leave it to cool if you prefer it cold. It's a versatile pudding for all seasons Grin

Eglu · 08/07/2011 18:19

I would say either way, but I prefer hot personally. My DC will eat hot or cold.

ednurse · 08/07/2011 18:20

Cold with some golden syrup.

TittyBojangles · 08/07/2011 18:20

Mmmmmm, bananas and custard.

Hot definately so YANBU.

RoundOrangeHead · 08/07/2011 18:21

fridge cold

LovelyDaffs · 08/07/2011 18:21

hot never cold

catgirl1976 · 08/07/2011 18:21

I hate bananas and I hate custard so I think you ABU hot or cold

MadYoungCatLady · 08/07/2011 18:21

Cold? Noooooo its is always, always served hot. DH is the weird one.

I'm sorry but I cant resist - only one 'n' each time in bananas :o

cookielove · 08/07/2011 18:21

Well personally, i think custard is good cold or hot, but def not with banana, oh yuck crushed up caramalised biscuits and hot custard, now that is heaven [mmmmmm]

carabos · 08/07/2011 18:21

Either is fine, but can be a problem if you have someone who will only eat the custard cold, cos if you make it yourself its hot. Tinned might be the way to go in this situation although not as nice obv.

RoundOrangeHead · 08/07/2011 18:22

actually can't eat banana custard as it always reminds me of the joke

bellavita · 08/07/2011 18:23

OMG I want bananas and custard now Envy.

I would prefer hot but I would eat it cold no problem.

BlueCat2010 · 08/07/2011 18:23

[hblush] Not only have I spelt banana wrong, I spelt it wrong twice!

Thank you all, keep the votes coming!

cookielove what are caramelised biscuits cos its sounds very yummy but I wouldn't know what to look for in the shop?

bruffin · 08/07/2011 18:24

Either, but we usually have cold because I can't be bothered to heat it up.

RedHotPokers · 08/07/2011 18:24

Hot definitely.
It is a great disappointment to me that my DCs don't like bananas, as bananas and custard is one of my favourite desserts.

changeforthebetter · 08/07/2011 18:24

Yuk! Neither - it is the dessert of the devil! YABVVVU to even contemplate it. Now Banoffee Pie, on the other hand, is the afters of the angels

tethersend · 08/07/2011 18:25

Cold from the fridge. REALLY cold.

It's only good hot if there's some sort of sponge pudding involved.

MorticiaAddams · 08/07/2011 18:27

Hot custard with bananas, s'lovely.

bellavita · 08/07/2011 18:28

I may have to have some tonight.

hazeyjane · 08/07/2011 18:29

Dear god, it has to be cold.

cookielove · 08/07/2011 18:29

MadYoungCatLady - these are caramalised biscuits they are heavenly

If you crush it but leave some really big chunks it and then bung it in the microwave, yum yum yum yum yum, i may have to go to sainsburys now Blush

wonderfultykes · 08/07/2011 18:40

Banana must be cold, custard can be either IMO. Sprinklies obligatory
