AIBU to tell SIL to stop 'bragging'

I am SAHM to 3 kids..... 1 at school & twins 2 1/2.... SIL has 7 kids and is 6mths pregnant...plans on having 10 children
MY DH works full time - i dont mainly as if i did work full time after nursery & childminder for the 3 i would only take home around 30 a month... (my choice not to i know)
neither her or her DH works.....
She has just called me to brag that the littlest one has been given a free nursery place (he is 1) to give her a brake - one of her kids has sn .... my twins will be 3 before being offered a place she knows i struggle with the kids but her mum and mil often go down to 'help' out as she has sooo many, my family are unable/don't want to.
I am FED UP of having to listen to her 'brag' about all the things she has (free school dinners, 2 cars, caravan, big pool in the garden, holidays, pedigree pets etc....)

would it BU just to hang up on her next time she call's with 'news' I have asked her nicley to stop as in thats really nice for you but i dont need to know about everything you have etc... but she just dosn't!!!

How she lives her life is up to her..... she made a choice and is happy with it. People may not agree with her 'lifestyle (especially her brother) but it is her life i just am fed up of hearing about it!!!

I am only asking if IABU to hang up on her/ignore calls from her etc....

I disagree with people continuing to have children when neither parent has any intention of providing for them financially. State support exists to offer help if you fall on hard times or are unable to work because you are ill/you genuinely cannot get work/you are a carer. It is not there to enable people to have kids in the expectation that everyone else will pay for them.

It would annoy the hell out of me listening to my SIL brag about all the stuff she is getting for free that everyone else was paying for. If she can afford to run 2 cars and a caravan, then she ought to be paying for her own children's meals.

Cog-read the OP again.Then again.And then some more.Neither works,yet gets money and financial help.Do you understand why some people get pissed off? No mention of disability which would mean that employment would be difficult,so what do you think the reason could be that they do not work yet choose to carry on having children? Could it possibly be the fact that they are being allowed to by the Benefit system?

I can read perfectly well Dexifehatz, thank you very much. But posts like this designed simply to get the MN collecive blood-pressure raised about 'benefit scroungers' are a hardy perennial wind-up topic. I don't think it's a true story in the slightest.

If this were real my thoughts would be how sad it is that she is 'bragging' that her children get free meals. They're there to help families who would otherwise struggle to feed their children, and no normal, balanced person would be pleased to be in a situation where they can't afford food. Therefore she is imaginary has issues.

I belive it cause the town im from are full of them infact my younger sister has 4 kids to three different dads. No excuse not to work but chooses to have more and more kids so she doesnt have to work.

Belive it or not there are plenty of scrounging twats out there and there is more than you realise.

Why would they want to work, when they got the lifestyle they want.

It not there fault it is the governments fault for allowing this to continue, even if one of thm did go to work they will get a large amount of tax credits
