YA so NOT BU

sephrenia · 23/06/2011 09:58

When you ladies have finished with him, I totally would Grin

lookbutdonttouch · 23/06/2011 10:01

Oh Liam, Alan and ... Bill Nighy?!!! (hides)

echt · 23/06/2011 10:03

Sad, sad women.

To not understand that Mr.Rickman, and his deep, throbbing, masculine voice is mine I tell you, mine!

MooMooFarm · 23/06/2011 10:09

YANBU - he is definitely on my list. It's the combination of his dark broody-ness (is that the right word Confused and his voice. Mmmmmm.

WineAndPizza · 23/06/2011 10:12

Oh God Alan Rickman is amazing...he makes my heart hurt in Sense and Sensibility, that bit where he carries Marianne in out of the rain...I love him!

Anniegetyourgun · 23/06/2011 10:15

It's the voice, definitely. He could read the telephone directory and make it sexy. DS3, who is the straightest of straight men, also says he would be glad to make an exception in Alan's case. "And cancel Christmas!" (Interesting that no-one's going all swoony over that rather wet Robin Hood, we all go for the Sheriff! Everyone loves a good villain.)

You are also correct re Liam Neeson, and I think it is generally admitted that Bill Nighy has got Something.

As for the Divine Johnny... for some strange reason he is too beautiful to do it for me. I wouldn't want to hide his beauty under the blankets, I would just like to gaze on it as on the Mona Lisa and think how unnatural it is that a human being should be quite so beautiful. And yet my 'ormones remain unstirred. I worship Captain Jack Sparrow, I can quote you pretty much the entire script of the first Pirates film, but I wouldn't do it. (Probably because the smell of rum would knock me back before I could get close.) But then I am a mite peculiar.

SuePurblybilt · 23/06/2011 10:16

Only in S&S. The bit where he's reading and she asks if he'll be away for long
The rest of the time I can take or leave. We could arrange a time-share?

LittleMissFlustered · 23/06/2011 10:17

That voice. Oh god that voice.

MorelliOrRanger · 23/06/2011 10:19

yanbu - he's certainly got something

QueenofDreams · 23/06/2011 10:25

I think I fancied him from the time I saw Robin Hood at the Drive In (yes, really) I was about 10/11 at the time.

Don't fancy Johnny Depp at all (did once meet a guy who was a proper doppelganger though)

shakey1500 · 23/06/2011 10:27

YANBU. Went to see Twelfth Night at RSC last year and he was there also. Hadn't realised until I heard his dulcet tones ordering a drink next to me in the bar

Same night Sir Ian Mckellen was in front of me. I touched his jacket just because I could!

StellaSays · 23/06/2011 10:29

YANBU, he is on my list of older men that I would totally do if got the chance along with Jeremy Irons and Jason Issacs.

openerofjars · 23/06/2011 10:30

Did anyone else see the made for TV movie about Rasputin with Alan Rickman in the title role? He was grimy, creepy and insane in it, but even so (or maybe because of it, who knows?)...

Sigh.

If I wasn't already in bed I'd need a lie down.

Riveninside · 23/06/2011 10:31

I saw him first. I am older than all of you and saw him in Robin Hood. So ner.
And yes to Mr Depp.
Can I add Hugh Jackman to the mix? As Wolverine Blush

openerofjars · 23/06/2011 10:33

Oh, Jason Isaacs!

Who'd be in Gryffindor (sp?) when all the yummy older men are Slytherin (also sp?) types, eh? Malfoy Sr AND Snape. Phwoar.

openerofjars · 23/06/2011 10:34

Yes you can. And then hands off! Mine!

danilyon · 23/06/2011 10:38

YADNBU! My DH thinks I'm slightly strange and alone in fancying Alan Rickman but now I can show him this thread Grin
It is definitely the voice that does it for me [swoon] I made DH watch Robin Hood the other night and then proceeded to grin like an idiot whenever he came on screen [embarrassed]
Also love Johnny Depp. When Sweeny Todd came out I thought I'd died and gone to heaven - Johnny and Alan in one film together made my year Grin

kreecherlivesupstairs · 23/06/2011 10:45

Just back to let you know that JD has been let go, he kept scratching at the back door in a most unattractive manner.
I know this will be unpopular, but I am going to throw Adrian Chiles into it.
Part of the reason for moving back to England is so I can see him on the telly. We don't get ITV. Tomorrow morning I will be watching the delicious AC while staying at the premier inn with DD.

Riveninside · 23/06/2011 10:46

Jason Isaacs. Would not say no.

Oh god, couldn't place Adrian Chiles so I just googled him and... no. Just no. No, no, no, no. Is his voice any good? I suppose it must be.
