No time for her or him other than the entertainment it has provided. But, I'd like to see her turn the tables on him and sue his pants off - AIBU?
IWantToBeAFairyWhenIGrowUp · 23/05/2011 14:19
I don't agree with how this whole thing is being played out, but she got involved with a married man - did she really expect him not to want to keep it quiet.
She shouldn't have taken the flack because he's to blame as well, but no-one should sue anyone, bloody blame culture we live in.
worldgonecrazy · 23/05/2011 14:21
YABU. Women like this are only interested in getting their 15 minutes of fame at some point. That's why they keep records, etc. so they can 'prove' the affair and sell their tawdry story. They are little better than prostitutes, who at least are more honest about their trade.

Allegedly she tried to blackmail him, asked him to meet her in a hotel to discuss a "pay-off" but then tipped off The Sun who then took covert photos of him at the hotel. Hence the injunction.
Sympathy for her is misplaced IMO given the incredible amount of publicity she has received which surely was her aim in the first place (plus selling the story obv). Glamour model famous for being on BB? I think we all know what her priorities are.
PS - I am biased since I believe this guy is probably the greatest footballer of his generation.

totally agree with bupcakes, Ive never understood the way that the majority of the vitriol is aimed at the OW. she's not the one with a family. she's not the one who made vows. shes not innocent, and knew he was married but, lets face it, many of these wankers use the "we are only together for the kids/to stop bad publicity/until i retire" line to get naive, less than bright fame-hungry wannabe's into the sack.
bluebobbin · 23/05/2011 14:26
I don't think she should sue. I think that she should think about what she has done - she shagged a very famous married man who had 2 children and seems to have been so immature and stupid to think it would end up "happily ever after" for the 2 of them. She should be embarrassed and ashamed and keep a low profile for a while.
Of course the bulk of the wrongdoing lies with the man in question, but the thread title is about the woman.
takethatlady · 23/05/2011 14:27
amateurish I think 'apparently' is the operative word there. I have seen her on television strenuously denying that she blackmailed him - and I believed her. She seemed in utter turmoil, and wanted it all to go to court so that the blackmail accusation could be proven untrue.
Really hate the 'women like this' kind of comments. Who knows what went on between them? At the end of the day, he cheated on his wife and family and the injunction only covers his own privacy. If he cared enough to sleep with her, he should care enough to cover her own back as well as his own.

"PS - I am biased since I believe this guy is probably the greatest footballer of his generation"
And here lies the crux of the matter. The little shit and others of his ilk are able to get away with treading all over wives/lovers/children because they know how to kick a sack of air around a patch of grass
thebestisyettocome · 23/05/2011 14:31
She looks totally bewildered by it all to me. I saw her interviewed and she isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. I honestly believe she's guilty of being naive.
I love football but it saddens me that people could excuse poor behaviour on the grounds of somebody being a great player
mrsbunnthebaker · 23/05/2011 14:34
who gives a monkeys really
if the News of the World had just run the silly story, it would be chip paper by now and no one would remember except those involved
now the whole country knows
she will make a fortune, he will lose his reputation - meh! the world goes on turning

he's said she was black mailing him a claim she has strenuously denied.
He is the married person in this, he should have kept it in his trousers and none of this would have happened, end of.
Only he and she know what was said and what went on, and he has gagged all that because he didn't want his wife to find out, again easy answer was not to do it in the first place.
I have absolutely no sympathy for him at all, or her for that matter too.
