No time for her or him other than the entertainment it has provided. But, I'd like to see her turn the tables on him and sue his pants off - AIBU?

You jumped on people for daring to question what you had posted.

I did say several threads back that women arguing was silly.

IMHO the married man is in the wrong for having an affair. She is also in the wrong because she knew who he was and that he was married with DC. However, who do you think chased who ? What gives you the right to assume Imogen is a money hungry little slag ?

Just because some of us are fed up of the other woman always being slagged off, it doesn't mean we relate to it in RL. As in, we are/have been too.

I don't want to be here and arguing with people Bimbo, but you hit a nerve.

I am sorry I called you a bitter ex, and told you to go away. But you cannot come on places like this without backing up a statement, with facts....or, you just say, "well, IMHO".

fedupofnamechanging · 23/05/2011 18:13

He is the one who is married, so he has wrecked his own home, broken his marriage vows and proven himself to be a complete scummy bastard.

Still, sleeping with a married person is a dirty, sleazy thing to do.

IT chose to become involved with the sort of person who will lie and deceive and cheat on his wife, should it really be a great surprise when he shows no hesitation in screwing her over too.

They are both nasty and I have no sympathy for either of them.

Can't understand why the wives in these situations, having been thoroughly publicly humiliated allow themselves to be paraded around by their husbands. There's no way I'd enable my husband to put any kind of positive spin on this.

Teenytiny · 23/05/2011 18:13

i agree with that bimbo, they are both as bad as each other. shes no victim she knew what she was doing when she got involved with a married man.

wtf someone told you to fuck off cos you like crocs??? whats that about?? lol x

cassierosse · 23/05/2011 18:15

Eff off cos you don't like crocs ?

Wow.

Well maybe I should then, cos I don't particularly like or dislike them. Grin

DharmaLovesGreg · 23/05/2011 18:22

I am a total twat - when people put IT I thought that was what they were calling her - you know dehumanising her in a 'it shagged a footballer' way

I have just clicked that they are her initials

bupcakesandcunting · 23/05/2011 18:23

If we had to geographically sort everyone who liked crocs and everyone who did not like crocs into nations, the anti-crocs would fill South America. The pro-crocs would fill Luxembourg.

Missbakewell · 23/05/2011 18:34

If he was so concerned with his wife and his families privacy then he should have kept it in his pants.. he certainly wasn't thinking about them while he was cheating was he?

Teenytiny · 23/05/2011 18:42

i agree missbakewell

QuickLookBusy · 23/05/2011 18:46

They are BOTH in the wrong however:

He is the one who is married
He is the one shagging someone else whilst married
He is the one trying to keep it all quiet
He is the one spending £50,000 to keep his name out of the papers whist NAMING Imogen Thomas

He is a twat of the highest order

fastedwina · 23/05/2011 18:50

They are both not to be admired. No-one gives two hoots about the affair, it is all the further shennanigans that have got people talking - especially people who would have had no interest in these two people in the first place.

ITN news just named him after a Lib Dem MP named him using parliamentary privilege.

Does this mean we can now name him here as the one that ITN named?

And yes it woud we nice to see her turn the tables but only because he tried to use his wealth to box her into a position where she couldn't even talk about her own life. Isn't that against HER human rights?

mayorquimby · 23/05/2011 19:01

might have been covered already but how does she intend to sue over claims made during legal proceedings?

AlpinePony · 23/05/2011 19:13

Perhaps imogen isn't very bright. Perhaps she was in a bar/club when he broke the ice with a Wales joke. Perhaps they started an affair and she was attracted to the lifestyle. Then maybe he told her that it was cliche, but his wife didn't understand him. He was going to tell her 'last night' but she threatened to kill herself. He really loves her but the time isn't right.

Either something like that or else imogen's vagina puffs out little clouds of nectar-like aphrodisiac and pulls in penii like a canoe over Niagara falls.

bupcakesandcunting · 23/05/2011 19:23

I wish I could 'like' AP's post...

SecretNutellaFix · 23/05/2011 19:54

I'll be honest.
I don't give a flying fuck who shags who as a general rule, and wouldn't have been interested in this case had he not been a prick and demanded that he not be named. If he felt, honestly, that he had done nothing wrong it would have been a nine day wonder in the press with most people ignoring it/ merely commenting about him being an unfaithful bastard.
Instead, it's bringing a huge media shitstorm to his front door. I feel sorry for his family. They are being dragged through this through no fault of any, but his.

He was the one who chose to ignore his marriage vows, and then tries to assert his dominance over a woman he chose to stick his penis in, by telling her that she isn't allowed to talk about it in case his wife heard about it? He deserves to be sued.

It's posts like alpine pony that make me LOVE mumsnet. I honestly wish I could have a good night out with a lot of you it would be hilarious (there might be a fight over crocs at the end of the night though)

I'm in the crocs hater camp btw I think they were designed for a laugh and somehow took off, the inventor is probably at a cash point looking at the millions and thinking bu the crocs were a joke!
