No time for her or him other than the entertainment it has provided. But, I'd like to see her turn the tables on him and sue his pants off - AIBU?

Amatuerish - I think you should take your own advice. You are the one who keeps spouting uninformed crap from the tabloids as 'fact' that you, yourself, have admitted is biased because you think he 'is the greatest player of his generation'.

And it has EVERYTHING to do with sexual politics.

OracleInaCoracle · 23/05/2011 16:41

what fixit said.

she has been accused of blackmail by his people, in order to drag her name through the mud, paint her as a grubby little tart with his chequebook in her knickers, selling her story etc. she strenuously denies trying to blackmail him, states that they were in a relationship, she loved him. we dont KNOW whether she tried to blackmail him, but the affair has been confirmed

Amateurish · 23/05/2011 16:43

Sorry to keep going back to the court report - but this is a kiss and tell.

"It seems that Ms Thomas had instructed other solicitors for a short time, with whom the Claimant's advisers had made contact on 15 April. On that date she had signed a very brief witness statement accepting that she wished to publish her account of her relationship with the Claimant..."

bupcakesandcunting · 23/05/2011 16:43

This is exactly what I said on another thread on the subject last week: misogynistic and vile. Whore, husband stealer, slag. She has to contend with that whilst he is facing mild disappointment because he happens to be a talented footballer. Like THAT means anything. He ain't a talented cancer surgeon fgs.

bupcakesandcunting · 23/05/2011 16:44

Amateurish, whose words are they?

bupcakesandcunting · 23/05/2011 16:46

"making herself available to a married man"

She is available to have sex with whomever she likes! The onus is on the married party to say no.

OracleInaCoracle · 23/05/2011 16:46

maybe she WAS going to sell her story, just been dumped by a man who told her that he loved her. cast aside like a dirty jockstrap. I dont condone it, but can see how appealing that would be, just to see "mr clean cut family man" squirm.

GetOrfMoiCase · 23/05/2011 16:46

Totally agree with bupcakes.

He is a snivelling little toad. Zero sympathy. I certainly don't have any respect because he has a talent for kicking a ball. I reservce my respect for those people who have some level of emotional intelligence and a degree of probity.

Can't believe the ire that Imogen T has generated, from both men and women. As far as I can see she is only guilty of being naive. She was not the faithless scummer using his money to exert power in such a heinous way.

OracleInaCoracle · 23/05/2011 16:50

she can have sex with whomsoever she wants. she's not married. Im sick of this "husband stealing whores, setting their caps at our men, poor boys dont stand a chance" rubbish. they are grown men. with minds of their own. if a man isnt going to stray, he wont. end of. I dont buy the "if its on a platter" crap. RG has built an image for himself over the years, itrs his own fault that has been tarnished.

NorkyButNice · 23/05/2011 16:51

Sky News have named Ryan Giggs after John Hemming named him in the Commons.

So no suing necessary I would think - it'll all come out.

TheFantasticFixit · 23/05/2011 16:51

Amateurish - those words are the footballers, and Schillings, his lawyers. She hasn't made a statement and The Sun have already published a statement saying that she had not agreed to any story, or deal with them prior to the story breaking. That will be the court report from regarding the injunction that he has BOUGHT. It is not indicative of any result of any trial that may, or may not result from this whole episode. It is a biased report that is dependent on the statements available to the judge at the time and which DID NOT include, at that time, Imogen Thomas' statement.

I really do not understand why you are so determined to 'protect' this idiot.

Amateurish · 23/05/2011 16:53

The statement is by Mr Justice Eady.

She was represented by her QC so I'm sure her witness statement followed proper legal advice.

bupcakesandcunting · 23/05/2011 16:56

Even IF she was planning on selling her story...

Did he not consider this before having an affair with her? Scorned parties the world over seek to take revenge when married lover casts them aside. It's nothing new. It's usually cutting up of suits/scratching cars with keys/threatening to tell spouse. In this case, it's the national press might find out. He MUST have known this. What an utter dick.

I'm actually starting to root for Imogen now. If only out of defiance.

bupcakesandcunting · 23/05/2011 16:58

"Penis rules. Penises stick together.

At the expense of everyone else."

I said this too last week; that it's like some fucking boy's club where they all close ranks to protect one of the lads, stuff what happens to the woman. Including that fucking ARSEHOLE of a lawyer who sat next to Imogen on This Morning and spoke to her like a fucking criminal. Wankers. I imagine Giggs has had his back slapped red raw in the dressing room from his team mates congratulating him. Vile vile vile.

TheFantasticFixit · 23/05/2011 16:58

FFS. For the last time, she has categorically stated that SHE HAS NOT, AT ANY POINT, HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE A WITNESS STATEMENT REGARDING THE SI.

Got it?

And she won't have had a QC because she is not on trial and would not have a platform for defence at this point - the hearings have been regarding the SI. She has attended court, to sit in the public area, to HEAR the goings on.

wornoutbutstillwonderful · 23/05/2011 16:59

Love that she is free to have sex with whomever she wishes

She knew he was married- trollop!!!

He should have said no and respected his family- arsehole!!!

And she is definately not a naive shes been with defoe to name one of many footballers ffs thats gotta wisen you up.

wornoutbutstillwonderful · 23/05/2011 17:01

My last post I mean't that yes she is free to have sex with whomever she wishes if this is a married man then she is a trollop just as he is a prick.

OracleInaCoracle · 23/05/2011 17:02

wornoutr, of course she is. she has no obligation to anyone, he has. I dont agree with her actions and wouldnt have done it myself while single, but she has no family to consider.

TheFantasticFixit · 23/05/2011 17:03

Yes dear, we know what you meant.
