I wish I could have another baby just so I could make me tickers even bigger. Shall I do one for the dog. I know his birthday.

Sensitive flowers my arse.

Passive agressive nightmare witches from the depths of hun hell more like.

(cept me and amber and CFAW) Grin

YummyxMummy · 08/05/2011 22:57

I'm with both.. I usually use Netmums more as I find it easier to use and fine the blue and white on here pretty boring.. Much prefer the colour on netmums.. Conversation wise I find both pretty much the same..

Bohica · 08/05/2011 22:57

The thread has gone.

poff

Forever.......

CFAW pm me in the morning as I have inside gossip if you want it.

GypsyMoth · 08/05/2011 22:59

did it kick off more Bohica??

i considered posting something infammatory just to let them know mumsnet was watching and laughing.......as they were gloating at us a few weeks back!

thefirstMrsDeVere · 08/05/2011 23:00

I want inside information! Me me me!

constantlywrong · 08/05/2011 23:00

Not my cup of tea, but each to their own. I comment on NM recently about my feelings on the matter - it is a bit shit, but really, it works for them, so hey ho - the two aren't really comparable, they're pitched totally different.

This did make me chuckle though, just had a nosey at the thread on there slagging MN off - " eventually i found netmums by accident and for me it worked, a lot of it seemed more sophisticated and grown up etc."

Sophisticated...really?

thefirstMrsDeVere · 08/05/2011 23:02

yummy it took me ages to get used to the MN set up. I couldnt find anything and hated scrolling through all the posts.

I prefer it now. Although I do wish it was pink rather than blue. And I want a wagging finger emoticon because it would drive people insane Grin

YummyxMummy · 08/05/2011 23:03

Im hoping it gets easier to navigate lol.. Chat wise I enjoy both.. Its just the ease of using netmums that leads me there more.

constantlywrong · 08/05/2011 23:06

Oh my word at the "greedy with food" thread. I don't even know where to begin with that one.

Bohica · 08/05/2011 23:11

It's back but I am siging off to watch crie at greys.

Night night girls.

BertieBotts · 08/05/2011 23:11

THEY HAVE BUMSEX THREADS! Shock Own up, who started it? Grin

(Actually on second thoughts it can't have been a MNer, it was started on a Tuesday Confused

chicletteeth · 08/05/2011 23:12

It's the mods innit!
They are shite! And if you say ar*e they get all pissed off and say DON'T TRY TO BYPASS THE SWEAR FILTER. I say to myself, for fucksake, arse isn't even rude, but they just aren't having it.

I have been banned from there now since joining mumsnet!

yummyxmummy......how do you mark your place on the netmums threads?? here you just click on 'save'??

can you easily distinguish op posts on netmums?? here they are coloured green

same for your own posts....on a long thread on netmums, how do you quickly find them? here we can choose a diff colour for our own posts

BertieBotts · 08/05/2011 23:16

Oh GOD the pictures of children (and smiling portraits of the posters themselves) are just so so wrong on this thread.

I'm guessing once you've been there a while the portraits etc just wash over you? Because I need brain bleach to get the image of Wendy and her husband out of my head now.

GypsyMoth · 08/05/2011 23:18

''location: in my gorgeous hubby's arms....''.yuk,yuk

YummyxMummy · 08/05/2011 23:20

Tilly you can subscribe to a thread but I just go to the new posts and see usually whatever your writing on it there.. If that makes any sense.

Im still trying to get used to how mumsnet works. I'm pretty sure it will come with time though lol.

BertieBotts · 08/05/2011 23:23

Tilly:
"...being done up the crimper" Grin

Yummy, have you seen the "Threads I'm On" feature here, and also "Active Conversations" sounds as though it's the equivalent of "New Posts". That's mostly how I get around :)

GypsyMoth · 08/05/2011 23:26

have you customized though????

customise your board.....hiden all the crap subjects, choose pretty colours...

kw1986 · 08/05/2011 23:28

I started out on NM a few years back, and only discovered MN properly a few weeks ago. I prefer it. I like being able to swear without it being starred out. I like that threads dont get deleted left, right and centre.

I was noseying on NM earlier (a rarity as it seems to cause my browser to crash ALOT now - should take the hint really!!) and I really wanted to reply to a thread but it would have come out too mumsnetty and harsh and offended everyone so didn't bother.

Fuck cunt arse shite... Aaahhh no stars! :P
