I used to be on there a lot. Then I went between here and there. Then I just couldnt take there anymore.

I have started having a little look again but its just too much. The moderating is restricted to anyone using norty words or being a big meany. They tend to ignore racists, homophobes, ignorant fuckers and people who give out dangerous 'medical advice' e.g. when someone said she has started her 6 week old on solids and now was worried it was a bit soon 'no hun, you CANT stop now because he is used to it and if you stop giving him solids now it will make him sick. You have to keep giving it to him now'.
This was allowed to stand but when it was challenged the posters me got told off and the posts deleted.

I was also warned for telling a poster that what she was doing to her DD was abusive. I know that gets bandied about a lot but this woman had a child with ASD who was terrified of the hoover. So when the 4 year old was 'naughty' or 'got on her nerves' she switched the hoover on and made her sit next to it.
I was told off for beign unsupportive.

However I have met some brilliant women on there. They are all my FB mates now so I dont really have to go on NMs. Unfortuanately they post links to the most interesting mental threads so I cant keep away!

I do think NMs has its place. Not everyone can cope with MN.

I used it loads for a long time. I stepped back when I realised I was only really going on their to poke BNP supporters and benefit bashers with a stick.

BTW I have loads of tickers on NM. Infact I have just been contacted by the moderaters because they are too big

I don't think i come across well on forums really thefirstMrsDeVere. I am of the view if you give it, you can take it. Netmums mods don't seem to agree.
