That I can't quite put my finger on....

He's hideous! Can not understand the attraction - sinister but not in a good way - in a creepy way.

curlywurlycremeegg · 08/04/2011 13:15

It's the fact that even when you can't see him, you can tell from his tone of voice that he has that bloody inane grin plastered on his face.

curlywurlycremeegg · 08/04/2011 13:16

Brian Cox -> Grin

wigglesrock · 08/04/2011 13:17

I agree, I find him a bit creepy, its the hair, too shiny

curlywurlycremeegg · 08/04/2011 13:18

arghhhh, I now can't get that image out of my head.....I would love to learn about whatever it is he is postulating, so I can impress DH, but have to change channel after 30 seconds

MillyR · 08/04/2011 13:18

I think he has made a pact with the devil. He isn't aging in a natural way.

Iklboo · 08/04/2011 13:19

Aw, he's OK is our Brian. Although, coincidentally, my smallest cat's tail hair looks pretty much exactly like Prof Brian's barnet.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 08/04/2011 13:21

He terrifies me, I don't even like the sound of his voice, I cannot watch him.

I can imagine him coming closer and closer to the screen, all the while hypnotizing you with his monotonous drone, then slowly ripping off his skin to reveal a grinning clown face.....

grovel · 08/04/2011 13:21

He is profoundly weird. He'll come to nasty end, you mark my words.

Magna · 08/04/2011 13:23

Glad its not just me that doesn't like me Smile

Its the grin and his face is always shiney even DH commented on how shiney his face is.

shareastory · 08/04/2011 13:24

glad i am not alone, voice, hair, teeth......he sort of looks like cross between a mod and someones mum!!!!!

DaisySteiner · 08/04/2011 13:24

It's his lips that creep me out.

lili2010 · 08/04/2011 13:29

He has a strange evangelistic manner, yet he claims to be an atheist. It doesn't add up. He's up to something. I'm on to him.

moonstorm · 08/04/2011 13:31

He doesn't say anything that hasn't been said before. I got really excited about his programs, but it's all the same old stuff. He's the new BBC thing that we've all got to love... I'm sure he's a nice person, though...

Bucharest · 08/04/2011 13:31

Oh, I feel sane again.
Every woman I know thinks he is the dog's bollocks, and while I appreciate he's talking about complicated shit with a regional accent so we're all supposed to think he's the Jamie Oliver of constellations or something, I just want to grab him and stick him by his lips to a window like a gonk.
He does that Tony Blair thing with his hands as well, like he's massaging an invisible breast. Never a good sign.

bristolcities · 08/04/2011 13:33

It's because he would actually make quite a pretty women!

SpeedyGonzalez · 08/04/2011 13:35

Bucharest!!!

PMSL!

Poor Brian Cox. I hope he doesn't read this thread. He's a MNer, didn't you know? Wink

Narketta · 08/04/2011 13:36

I think the reason he knows so much about space is because he's actually an alien. Grin

lili2010 · 08/04/2011 13:40

I thought he might be a wizard. Prof Wizard Brian Cox.

OP posts:
HipHopopotomus · 08/04/2011 13:58

I don't know who he is but he gets mentioned on MN LOTS!

JanMorrow · 08/04/2011 13:59

GASP!

starfleet · 08/04/2011 14:06

This thread has made me laugh so much my work colleagues must think I'm mental! I'm still sniggering now Grin

I share the same regional accent as The Prof being from the same town and all. They have a huge picture of him in the reception area of his old school which made me laugh when i went to visit said school. But then again they also have a picture of whatsherface - she played Raquel in Corrie - hanging up there as well.

Iklboo · 08/04/2011 14:09

Oh I'd SO send DS to a school that Professor Brian Cox & Sarah Lancashire went to GrinWink

mumatron · 08/04/2011 14:14

he reminds me of Johnny Depps version of Willy Wonka Confused

mumblechum1 · 08/04/2011 14:16

That's so weird, I was just thinkin gabout him and how I could never be attracted to a man who looks about 12.

Agree about the inane grin, too. I can't concentrate on what he's saying because I just want to tell him to wipe that silly smile off his face
