I have just had a lesson in the dangers of reading a thread from the bottom up. I read Bucharest's posts and thought the sex-with-y-front-sharing-muppet story was about her shagging Coxy! then

Love the 13.54 comment pointing out that you have to be very intelligent to fancy Brian because he's very intelligent. Slapped wrists for inane banter on an internet forum! Didn't realise he was deemed the 'thinking women's crumpet'. It is evident I either don't think or like crumpets!

I started off thinking the prof's character might have sinister overtones. This thread has taken those thoughts to a different level. I'm off to bed for some nightmares involving the prof in union jack undies, massaging invisible breasts and smilingly scheming to take over the universe...

Creepy, yes. In an annoying way rather than in a sinister one. I can't stand his ladyboy simper. Don't understand the big deal about him being a sex god - so what, he's under 40 and has a PhD in Clever Stuff?

But to be fair, he is first and foremost a scientist, presenter second.

I find him strangely alluring and mesmerising. Even though I hate some of the theories he peddles, like the end of all of everything, including time, for all eternity (I am more a God-is-a-Physisist-and-will-save-us-all-in-the-end person). It is his voice, soft and gentle, hypnotising.

There was a bit in his programme where he was on the beach with a camp fire. Sigh! I'd LOVE to spend time with him on the beach by the fire, talking about the universe.
