My BIL knows him, they are peers in a similar field. He has minions following him round (BC not the BIL).

fwiw worth I always assumed he uses the prof title to distinguish himself from the actor with the same name, but I could be wrong.

Mind you, I do think that dp's objections to bc are mostly based on jealousy!

But I do like him v v much and anyone who can explain that subject to a physics dunce like me and get me interested must have some seriously impressive skills at putting his point across.

My physics teacher at school looked like a toad and spent suspiciously long periods of time in the stationery cupboard so I never really clicked with the subject.
