Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

Gomummy sorry to hear the weather is still crappy, its just chilly here, with a few spots of rain

Teaandcakeplease · 05/03/2011 19:25

I seem to be struggling to keep up at the moment on here, so apologies for the selfish post but hello I am alive Wink

Quite a nice day here, went and spent the world book day £1 voucher this morning with DD and DS in tow. A few tantrums from DD as nursery is still making her mega tired by the weekend, so she had a nap today and was more than ready for bed by 7pm too. Total silence next door. She needs a nap at the weekend to catch up after nursery all week, bless her. I left her in the bath for a moment whilst dressing Jacob and tidying up a little. She's so good and as the bathroom is right by the living room I can hear everything in my little flat. What I didn't hear was her taking my Christmas present from my SIL (Avon foot scrub) and squeezing it all out into the bath Sad That'll teach me

DS did a huge poo in the bath and I had to drain it and fill it again, and then when he got out of the bath he did another one on the sly and laid it on his bus toy and kept pushing the bus around. He really is one gross boy. Sometimes I feel I cannot turn my back for a moment from either of them right now Grin

Valium it's a huge house with 2 stair cases, enormous basment with multiple rooms down there, 3 ways out to the back garden etc. The whole house is one big hazard to my boy who is a massive mischief maker. I'm more concerned about him sneaking out of his room at night, trying to find me and falling down the massive main staircase iyswim? I've bought a monitor on ebay now that can go 300m between units and I can talk through my unit to them without going upstairs to them Wink That'll save those long trips up and down to them. I just wouldn't hear them downstairs and DS right now at just turned 2 and just moved to a bed is a jack in the box at night and very cheeky.

Oh dear DD is crying I better go Shock

Heres a Brew tea Smile

Lol at ds Grin Wait until he discovers gross things like worms etc
Is he sleeping better for you ?

Teaandcakeplease · 05/03/2011 19:36

DD wanted some calpol Hmm

DS also doesn't settle easily for bed in a different place to home as well so it's not going to be easy. FIL says he'll buy a stairgate too.

Teaandcakeplease · 05/03/2011 19:38

Yes but I know it's all going to regress when I go to Scotland. Wink

elmofan · 05/03/2011 19:48

Hopefully the change in the air might help them sleep better , does FIL live in the countryside ?

Teaandcakeplease · 05/03/2011 20:02

Montrose, close enough to country. Kids will be way too excited to sleep I reckon.

Envy Valium and Elmo with your nice weather! We have just been dumped with mega snow again. We've now had more snow this week than we've had all winter, and that's saying something! It is quite spectacular if you don't need to go on the roads!

Thinking of you Tiredmum, v. excited for you!

Gomummy it's snowing here too. Pah!

gomummygo · 06/03/2011 21:52

Cheerful can you get on a computer before work in the morning? We're so far behind on the clock that Tiredmum may have news by then! (No pressure or anything Tiredmum!) Grin

No panic Tiredmum, just calm happy thoughts, know lots of good wishes are coming your way!
