Bloody Amazon Black Friday!

Amazon are doing a 'Black Friday' (started today, finishes Fr - hence name) where each hour they flog summat off dirt cheap. I pressed BUY at 09:00:01 for Take That's new CD at £1 (for SiL) and have been "waiting in the queue" ever since...

I'm 37+3 and have been sleeping about 3 hours a night. AIBU to just go back to bed and sod the savings?! Grin

Wouldn't worry, I tried at bang on and it was sold out.

ClaireDeLoon · 24/11/2010 16:05

I want the Nigella books

Umami · 24/11/2010 16:05

What a bunch of suckers we are!

Umami · 24/11/2010 16:07

Now, if it's the same deal as Monday, the Nigella book set is down from £80 to £15. That's not a bad deal. Sadly I already have two of the three.

crazybutterflylady · 24/11/2010 16:09

Great christmas presents though umami, if you split them up?!

I know, I am a marketing man's dream... Blush

TrillianAstra · 24/11/2010 16:11

Why is the 'real price' for the Nigella set £80?

Kicthen £12

Feast £11

Christmas £15

That's £37, not £80.

crazybutterflylady · 24/11/2010 16:12

Ah I guess because it's the RRP not the amazon reduced price. little tinkers.

ClaireDeLoon · 24/11/2010 16:14

Thanks for that info Trillian. I shall bear that in mind if I do win (unlikely I know).

TrillianAstra · 24/11/2010 16:14

I actually mis-linked to the paperback Feast, it's £18 in hardback.

Yes, RRP for the 3 makes £80, but that's not what you would pay when you are already on Amazon!

ClaireDeLoon · 24/11/2010 16:15

Sorry just noticed Umami already said what it went for on Monday, that would indeed be a bargain then. No chance!

Umami · 24/11/2010 16:15

Good point Trillian. You'd only pay £80 at some small independent bookshop that can't afford to offer the 50% discounts that Amazon offers routinely.

TrillianAstra · 24/11/2010 16:16

You don't "win" you know - it's not a prize, it's not free. You're buying it. Giving away your hard-earned cash.

Umami · 24/11/2010 16:17

I have now got sucked into looking around the massive grocery section they've got now. Blush

crazybutterflylady · 24/11/2010 16:19

grocery section you say...?

ClaireDeLoon · 24/11/2010 16:22

I never knew they had groceries either. I can't look as I'm waiting to not 'don't call it win' Nigella.

crazybutterflylady · 24/11/2010 16:23

trillian you should take all our credit cards off us!

crazybutterflylady · 24/11/2010 16:23

Ooh, boxes of nappies!

sold in less than 3 seconds? Hmm

ClaireDeLoon · 24/11/2010 16:31

ha ha!! I have purchased the nigella set for £15.

Umami · 24/11/2010 16:33

Oh well done on the Nigella!

I had already decided who to give the other books to, as suggested by crazy Blush

beckie222 · 24/11/2010 16:33

Does anybody know how much the phones went for @ 12? I really wanted them but I had to go out so I missed them.

Umami · 24/11/2010 16:35

Oh FGS! There's is more and more new stuff popping up! I think I'm only tempted by the Denby omelette pan, the Chuggington set and possibly the Rolling Stones thing. I think.

crazybutterflylady · 24/11/2010 16:37

beckie they were £44.99
well done claire
I'm glad I'm going home now or I might be in trouble with DH when all these things we don't want start arriving from amazon!
happy clicking ladies! Grin

TragicallyHip · 24/11/2010 16:45

Who is going for the Guinness Home Dart centre? I'll fight ya for it! Grin
