She came home from first day in Y1 at (Greater London) school yesterday and said "Teacher arksed me"...

ShockShock

My inner pedant is appalled.

DH's reaction is to want us to move "back" to his neck of the woods so she grows up speaking proper, like. Is he over-reacting? Wink

Which end? Soooooo excited. Horton Heath or Bishopstoke?

Do you know The Anglers pub? Or where Victor Meldrew met his end?

GuntherMcKilocodie · 10/09/2010 23:15

Yes it is lovely. Usually go there after strawberry picking at Steve Harris's!

Just a thought, did you know Catherine Ward MrsMD? Would have been in the year above you-from Hill Head.

Was Steve Harris one of the Harris farmers? I was good friends with Trev (Toby) - from that family... He was at the Grammar too, but in my year.

I remember Catherine Ward - she was quite brainy I think wasn't she, and always had her socks pulled up. Not sure if we ever would have spoken though...

jetgirl · 10/09/2010 23:24

Aw, Toby went out with a friend of mine, and we spent most of the summer of 89 hanging out with him and his mates. Good memories. I had a major crush on his friend Pez too... The farm shop I worked in at the abbey was owned by his aunt and uncle.

Nice to meet you too anyway. Hope you get a bit of sleep tonight!

sharbie · 10/09/2010 23:42
