She came home from first day in Y1 at (Greater London) school yesterday and said "Teacher arksed me"...

ShockShock

My inner pedant is appalled.

DH's reaction is to want us to move "back" to his neck of the woods so she grows up speaking proper, like. Is he over-reacting? Wink

GuntherMcKilocodie · 10/09/2010 22:38

Was good friends with Annabel's sister Jane. Still see her from time to time, although I met up with her again after another wierd coincidence. Was going out with someone who knew her from travelling-small world!

GuntherMcKilocodie · 10/09/2010 22:40

My Dad says mush a lot mumbar. He's from Southampton though.

MrsMellowdrummer · 10/09/2010 22:41

No way! I was good friends with her, and Ellen V-T, and Katey from Chichester if you knew any of that gang. She was always very cool, and I was jealous of their band! Smile

mumbar · 10/09/2010 22:42

GuntherMcKilocodie · 10/09/2010 22:49

Yes, had a few chemist shops. Sold them and the girls bought a lovely house in Highbury
(London, not Cosham!)

MrsMellowdrummer · 10/09/2010 22:49

Oh, she was well cool. Listened to John Peel and played the bass!

Hope she googles herself one day and finds this thread!

MrsMellowdrummer · 10/09/2010 22:54

Ann's band was The Green Ray!

Don't think I ever met her bro, bizarrely. Did he ever do battle of the bands or anything?

mumbar · 10/09/2010 22:55

I'm often down Hillhead, at the park, on the beach, picnic in the field etc. Was a member of Portchester Sailing club Grin

MrsMellowdrummer · 10/09/2010 22:58

We quite often go down to Hillhead with my mum and dad mumbar. We go to the little cafe on the sea front where they do nice lunches...

GuntherMcKilocodie · 10/09/2010 22:59

Yes they won battle of the bands in 1988. God knows how, they were shite!

See you at The Osborne next time I visit mumbar!

mumbar · 10/09/2010 22:59

Blue birds????

GuntherMcKilocodie · 10/09/2010 23:00

Is that The Haven MrsMD?

MrsMellowdrummer · 10/09/2010 23:04

Yeah - the Haven. It's really nice down there, we love it.

And you had to be completely shite to enter BotBands didn't you. Think it was actually in the rules.

Don't know which year it was, but we were at the finals the year Jonothan Ross compared, and his wife went into labour during the performance!

mumbar · 10/09/2010 23:06

Love Titchfield Haven. DS loves standing on the concrete walk way bit when high tide and windy!!! NEVER fails to amuse him Wink

MrsMellowdrummer · 10/09/2010 23:07

Just to clarify - Jonathan's wife wasn't there. Just jonathan. That could have got messy...
