Do you want to spend a day at Dyson HQ learning about allergies (and get a free Dyson Allergy vacuum cleaner?)

Hi there

Dyson want to invite five Mumsnetters who have children who suffer from asthma and/or dust allergies to visit their HQ in Wiltshire on Tuesday 9th September. During the course of the day the Dyson microbiologists will examine a sample of your dust to let you know what's lurking in your carpets and offer advice and tips on how to keep allergens at bay. Dyson will cover any transport costs and give you a Dyson Allergy vacuum cleaner for your troubles

All Dyson ask in return is that you come back and tell everyone else on Mumsnet all about your new-found dust busting tips later in September.

If your family fit the allergy bill, you know you're free on the 9th and fancy a day out and a new Dyson - you can sign up here

Best

Oh my goodness, bahamas wiltshire here I come!

Just got to persuade mil and dh to do school run and look after dd for day. Have promised dh can have the dyson as an anniversary present. Not sure that helped much though.

callmeovercautious · 08/08/2008 21:29

Me too Have been in honeymoon mode so had not checked my emails Can't wait to meet you all. I have only met one MNetter before and that was though work so this should be fun!

Anyone going from East Anglia?

brimfull · 08/08/2008 21:29

damn-I shall have to sniff and wheeze away then

thought I had been in with a chance there

VeniVidiVickiQV · 08/08/2008 21:33

Am in North London.

Was going to make my way to Paddington to get the train to Chippenham.

MrsBadger · 08/08/2008 21:34

I used to work with one of the Dyson microbiologists, you know

[well-connected]

callmeovercautious · 08/08/2008 21:37

Desperatehousewifetoo I could meet you in London and go the rest of the way together?

desperatehousewifetoo · 08/08/2008 21:39

vvvqv: still in 2 minds whether to go by train or car. I'm so close to M4 that think might be quicker by road than to travel to paddington and then train. (I also hate the tube!)

Also thinking that if have to bring new vacuum home, will be better in car. Although I guess it may be delivered.

Oh decisions, decisions!

desperatehousewifetoo · 08/08/2008 21:41

Callmeovercautious - if you like. Where are you coming from?

desperatehousewifetoo · 08/08/2008 21:45

Should I bring my uzi?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 08/08/2008 21:46

Yeah, I didnt fancy the M4 tbh. It can be such a nightmare - particularly Junctions 3-7.

So, if anyone wants to meet up at Paddington in the morning - I shall be there

Not in the morning, on the morning .... oh you know what I mean

desperatehousewifetoo · 08/08/2008 21:49

ha ha. I've just had a vision of us all having to do an assault course carrying our dysons. Only those worthy enough get to take one home.

Perhaps there's only one for us all to fight over!

littleducks · 08/08/2008 21:50

you know a blanket sewn in a pouch thingymegiggy to stop baby's toes poking out

ToughDaddy · 08/08/2008 21:56

i feel like i have missed out. All 3 of mine are asthmatic, allergic. I will just have to buy the god damn thing myself
