Give me your ‘adult’ soft drink orders at the pub please!

I have recently gone AF, first visit to the pub tonight with friends.
I like ginger flavours, cranberry juice, elderflower, sparkling wine. But not sure what to ask for and don’t really want pure juice.
What do you go for?

I just have a Ginger beer no faffing about i know what I like.

ThisAmpleCritic · 06/06/2026 10:59

They often have a good selection of AF drinks now! I like the Fentimans range.

BlackBean2023 · 06/06/2026 11:00

I like a non-alcoholic spritz

7238SM · 06/06/2026 11:00

Strangely, I'd just order a diet coke, but never drink it at home.

-ginger beer
-lemon/lime/bitters
-A fizzy orange drink like fanta
-Or just ask what AF drinks that have

Justanother123 · 06/06/2026 11:00

I love a lime and lemonade or a lime and soda

hellospring26 · 06/06/2026 11:00

Ginger beer

sesquipedalian · 06/06/2026 11:01

Sparkling elderflower. Sometimes they have elderflower cordial - that’s fine, too!

HippyChickMama · 06/06/2026 11:01

Fentimann’s rose lemonade
Orange juice and lemonade
Tonic water with ice and lemon
I like Pepsi and Coke but rarely drink them in a pub or restaurant because caffeine gives me migraines

StrictlyCoffee · 06/06/2026 11:02

Sparkling water, soda and lime, AF beer.

Latenightreader · 06/06/2026 11:02

I like tonic water - you can sometimes get elderflower tonic which is lovely. Appletiser is another staple of mine. Fevertree and Fentimans both do a great selection of adult soft drinks including ginger beer. I also like Britvic 55 which is sparkling fresh orange (haven't had it for a while).

Mudslideal · 06/06/2026 11:02

Fresh orange and lemonade

Xanadu58 · 06/06/2026 11:02

Soda water and lime or an Appletiser .

KingscoteStaff · 06/06/2026 11:14

Lime and soda and lots of ice.

ErrolTheDragon · 06/06/2026 11:18

AF IPAs (especially the citra types) or Guinness zero.

I also like Schweppes slimline tonic (I don’t like sugary drinks) but too many places now have that insipid Fevertree stuff which last time I looked was sweetened with fructose. Confused

At lunchtime I’d have Diet Coke.

Kbcdtyijgd · 06/06/2026 11:19

Alcohol free gin and ginger ale

CoastalCalm · 06/06/2026 11:27

If I’m feeling flush I’ll have a St Clements which is orange juice , bitter lemon and topped with either soda water or sprite to make it a long drink

Other wise lime and soda or sometimes a Virgin Mary with loads of WS

NutellasKitchen · 06/06/2026 11:31

A pint of orange and lemonade. Nothing nicer in the summer!

SmotherhoodandApplePie · 06/06/2026 11:33

I don't think you'd get this at the pub but Robinsons Lime and Mint cordial mixed with full fat tonic water is LOVELY . So maybe a lime and tonic with lots of ice?

MsSquiz · 06/06/2026 11:35

my AF go to drinks are:
Fresh orange and soda
blackcurrant and coke

CamillaMcCauley · 06/06/2026 11:35

Kombucha or a lime and soda but I get them to use real lime juice not the cordial, cos I’m classy.

Yetanotherone12 · 06/06/2026 11:37

I just get Diet Coke. Or is it not “adult” if it’s not some concoction?

Selkie33 · 06/06/2026 11:38

@literallyevery

How about a Shirley Temple
(a classic; ginger ale with a splash of sweet grenadine syrup, with a maraschino cherry garnish)

A recent thread here with many suggestions

gillybombilly · 06/06/2026 11:41

St. Clements - fresh orange juice and bitter lemon with ice.

Spacestory · 06/06/2026 11:43

I like the Thatchers zero. Tastes like sparkling apple juice! Or old mout berries and cherries 0% is so lovely

Additup · 06/06/2026 11:59

Sparkling water. Not exciting but the only drink guaranteed not to give me a headache. I like no alcohol beer but it still contains sulphates/triggers histamine etc which is the thing that makes me feel bad the next day.

I've had some bad hangovers from non alcoholic beer, gin, wine etc 😂
