Morning 😀 reading about the weight losses is terrific I've not weighed myself as like many others sweets are dominating my evening! Sleep I think is getting there a bit at a time!
Time to crack on with work my DH is home today so he is teacher!!
Have a fabulous day! 😘

Well done everyone! Reading these posts is very motivating. Day 4 for me now (I was a late starter!) and I’m still on the wagon. I’ll continue into Feb at least. I’m just hitting the lime and soda at night, which seems to be working (and is cheap!). It’s the sugar rush that helps me, I think, as I rarely eat sweet stuff. Also, having dinner early helps. Once I’ve eaten, a cup of tea and Netflix is all I need. Can’t say I’m sleeping any better yet - in fact I’m feeling quite wired/twitchy at night and having crazy dreams - and I also feel very sluggish in the mornings. But determined to get to get to the good stage around day ten! Doubt I’ve lost weight yet (gained at least a stone, if not more last year) and nothing much to report facially or skin wise so far. But it’s early days for me. Stay strong everyone! 😊

I went to Morrisons today and wanted to buy Seedlip. They didn't have any. They don't seem to have any alcohol free spirit type drinks. They had AF beers, wines and ciders. I looked on both the alcohol aisle and the posh soft drinks/cordials bit. Where is it normally kept in stores?

12 days!! And looking forward to my 1.2% gin arriving today. I’ll report back.

I'm going to Morrisons this evening to try and find the AF gordons, I'll let you know if I find anything

@IheartJKR I like it because it's a bit bitter, I get fed up with cordials and their sweetness. I also like bitter lemon and ginger ale so it's just my preference.

Re the seedlip we got it in Sainsbury's. I think there is a website called the Wise Bartender too that is all AF.

I went to M&S at the weekend and seedlip was £5 off, so £21 😁

Hi, just checking in, finding this surprisingly easy actually, decaff Earl Grey late afternoon, becks blue with tea, lilt in front of the TV and milk before bed, I am attacking dark choc Digestives so obviously need the sugar! But I find a variety of drinks keeps me from feeling deprived. Initial headaches gone, sleeping well and feeling energetic. Seriously wondering why I bother with wine?

Hi everyone! Sorry I'm late joining this thread. Day 12 for me too. Haven't really been tempted yet.

I went a bit overboard with the AF drinks - ordered a box of 15 bottles of mocktails from Square Root which turned out to be 15 very small, very sugary bottles of pop. Should have saved my money and bought some juice and posh lemonade!

I have been experimenting with different mixtures of soft drinks. The lemonade with mint from Aldi is lovely so I sometimes mix that with an AF gin or orange juice. Also Tesco do a lovely AF gin & tonic in cans. I've also tried a red & rose wine from Holland & Barrett which I wouldn't write home about. I've also discovered Clipper tea bags - I was given a variety box at Christmas and didn't think I'd get through it but some of the flavours are lovely.

I used to wait until about 8pm to open a bottle of something, now it's great that I can open it whenever I want!

Anyway just wanted to say Hi and share some drinks I've tried.

Good luck everyone!

I can't believe how much my face has changed but I can't quite work out what's different. Totally bizarre.

Well done @OhioOhioOhio - it's encouraging isn't it?

Yeah, thanks pp. It's odd. I definitely look better but can't see exactly what it is. If I stopped inhaling fizzy drinks I'm sure it would be even better.

I just got back from Morrisons and I bought the AF Gordons gin. It wasn't in the gin section, but a bit further down the spirits aisle

Thanks @CoronaIsWatching. I don't want the Gordon's one so I will continue looking for the Seedlip. I might try M&S but I am trying not to go out much so I might have to wait a while. I did get low cal ginger beer so I might have that with some lime if I am tempted by the wine.

Quick! Brush your teeth!

That usually gets rid of my cravings.

I had some chocolate and craving has gone now thank goodness. Supposed to be trying to lose weight but needs must, dry january is the priority. Remember the craving will pass. Read somewhere yesterday about thinking of the craving a wave that will crash. Good luck.

@goldpendant same here. Dreadful day at work, first time I have felt like I needed a glass of wine. Talked myself out of it, wanted to keep up the good work more than I wanted wine (miracle TBH)

I'm having a really down day. Fed up constantly feeding my teens (if I leave them to their own devices they either a) eat crap b) don't eat anything until about 5 minutes before I start dinner or c) eat stuff I have planned for another day) and keeping them motivated.

Trying to work and getting constantly interrupted by someone wanting to talk to me or needing help. I have no space. I feel suffocated. Then I feel guilty. I feel like I've got nothing left for me. Feeling irritable with my oh (thankfully we don't live together so I can hide when I feel like this). It just all feels too big for me today.

Went to tesco because DS needs a haircut and my oh very unhelpfully forgot to bring clippers over yesterday so I had to go and buy some because DS has been nagging me for 2 weeks to do it - I went to the wine aisle but didn't get wine - just 0% fizz. So I guess that's something.

Well done everyone, @CandyLeBonBon @Hepzibar @Blessex etc!! I have tried a nosecco with tonic, in a proper champagne glass, and I prefer it to the nosecco itself! Win!

I've also snuck out of kids bedtime and retreated to the sofa with said drink (my favourite hangout with a wine), feeling a bit grumpy but better than I'd have felt if I'd cracked. Thanks!

@goldpendant well done! I swerved the AF beer and went straight for the zero gin! I am now checking my nosecco delivery - was meant to arrive today. Am looking forward to that !

Oh just went to Amazon and realise I didn’t press buy. Just ordered 2 bottles instead coming Thursday. Can’t wait now. Good reviews. The zero Gordon’s is actually growing on me now too. I must be desperate. @hepzibar keep it up. I had a really heavy day at work too and have a headache. This is where I would open wine and collapse. But not going to undo all the work now.
