OK sso who is up for meeting for dinner probably central London (Victoria area) on Thursday evening 27th May.

C'mon, you know you want to...

I don't really know the area around Victoria unfortunately so can't recommend any restaurants. .

Kewcumber · 18/05/2010 14:56

anywhere that does water is fine by me . Actually might be able to squeeze in a bloody Mary... how much carbohydrate is there in vodka?

OP posts:
Silver1 · 18/05/2010 15:19

The last time I ate in that area it was at a place called About Thyme.
But Top Table might be somewhere to look for ideas.
What do people not like?

Kewcumber wants somewhere low carb, that does vodka and water.

I don't mind- but somewhere specialising in Dairy may leave me hungry.

We could just meet in a bar, then go into the road and spin someone round and round and end up eating wherever they end up pointing?

chesgirlNOTgriffins · 18/05/2010 15:55

I think you are all very mean to go out in the evening. You know I cant do evenings - OH stupid job!

Have a lovely time though

KristinaM · 18/05/2010 16:21

oh chegirl - could you not rustle up a babysitter from somehere???? I would SO like to meet you

KristinaM · 18/05/2010 16:25

re places to eat - i don't like indian food

kew - can you eating anything, or just clear fluids? [tries to imagine KC after a night of drinking vodka and white wine on an empty tum]

chesgirlNOTgriffins · 18/05/2010 16:35

Thank you Kristina. Maybe next year? DS4 is only 5 weeks old.

It would be lovely to meet you all though.

You will have to tell me all about it. I particularly want to hear about Kew's behaviour after downing voddies on an empty stomach

Kewcumber · 18/05/2010 17:02

Oh don't worry about food for me, I'm limited to 20gr of carbs (about 2 small potatoes) in the evening with a 4oz peice of fish/meat etc. So think I will eat before I come and investigate vodka as I can have unlimited veg!

Am permanently bloody starving so can't imagine the effect of a single bloody mary!

On the upside I've lost about 3.5kgs (about 7lbs) in 4 days

OP posts:
KristinaM · 18/05/2010 17:04

but 5 weeks is the perfect age to take them out for the evening

shove them up your t shirt and you have the other hand free to drink eat

Kewcumber · 18/05/2010 17:11

just looked it up looks like vodka has no carbs but acetates just need to check that acetates aren't metabolised like carbs...

OP posts:
hifi · 18/05/2010 17:28

vodka is in and out of your body very quickly, thats why all the super models drink it.will have a look at some restaurants later and see what suits.

KristinaM · 18/05/2010 19:04

i hate vodka. that's probably why i don't look like a supermodel

Silver1 · 18/05/2010 23:40

So we want
Vegetables for Kewcumber-but she'll accept vodka in lieu
Not Indian for Kristina-but an alternative to vodka for beverage
A spare sling for chesgirlNOTgriffins so she can bring the baby and hide him under her top for the evening
Flowers for Kristina in keeping with her theme for the day.

This should be easy to sort out

KristinaM · 19/05/2010 07:58

you forgot the chutney

Silver1 · 19/05/2010 13:34

But I am withoutchutney

Kewcumber · 19/05/2010 14:32

I can bring jam? (though not eat it)

OP posts:
PheasantPlucker · 19/05/2010 14:40

If it's Victoria there used to be a place called Chimes (I am talking a while back) which was nice...... Sadly not known for a massive range of vods though.....And might not even exist any more.

If I come I will wear a dress cleverly fashioned from chutney made by my Granny in 1977, to celebrate the Silver Jubilee.

Oh Kristina, we've got tickets to Chelsea on the Tuesday, I will feed back to you.

KristinaM · 19/05/2010 14:56

oh excellent - my programme arrived in the post yesterday.........i am absurdly excited about the whole trip - chelsea and meet up, woo hoo

[must get out more ]

Kewcumber · 19/05/2010 15:40

anywhere downtown is good for me. i will be coming from oxford circus and leaving for euston - that's all pretty central, isn't it? [country bumpkin]

Kewcumber · 19/05/2010 15:57

why will you be coming form Oxford circus?

OP posts:
KristinaM · 19/05/2010 17:01

meeting up with DSD ( who lives in London) for a quick coffee about 4pm before going out on the tiles with you lot. she is not interested in flower shows or nights out with old people

she assures me that sloan square, oxford circus and euston are all very close ( have oyster card, will travel)- have i been misled?

i assumed that we were meeting after [your] work, around 6pm ish , is that right?

Kewcumber · 19/05/2010 19:42
